Had a appt with Dougie and honestly she was a good time! The salon was nice, clean and everyone was really into their clients and seemed so interested in the conversations then just the regular small talk. But I never left a hair salon and people LITERALLY drop their jaws in amazement!!! She pulled the PERFECT color for me made me feel a full 110%! Highly recommend Dougie ✨️

unprofessional, rude, and lacks basic customer service skills. I called in the morning to confirm my appointment and inform the stylist that my pipes are frozen and I will be unable to come to my appointment with freshly washed curls. They said it was okay but to have me come with my hair detangled. As I’m in the process of detangling my hair, I get a call noting that it’s too late for me to come in for my appointment. My calendar shows the appointment starts at 12 noon, theirs shows 11am. Once again, I had called them at 8:30 this morning to let them know I had a noon appointment and what was going on with my frozen water pipes. Regardless, I expressed that I live 5 minutes away and could be there in 5 minutes and they still refused to allow me to come. I made the front desk aware that my job is 100% travel and the appointment probably didn’t account for my time zone change because I was in CST when I added this to my calendar. I will 100% own that it’s my fault for not noticing that my calendar didn’t update to the current time zone. My problem is with the lack of understanding or empathy. I communicated first thing in the morning that I would be present, I communicated that I could be there in 5 minutes after being told that the appointment started at 11, I communicated that I would be willing to take a regular basic haircut to accommodate the stylist schedule. The front desk said she would ask the stylist and let me know. But she didn’t call back, I found out that my card was charged by a app notification. She lacked the courtesy to give me a call back about a final decision. Absolutely zero efforts were even attempted to accommodate for the situation. The salon knew that they could still charge the full amount ($140) without doing any of the work so that’s what they did. They showed they care more about money over client experience. I’m disappointed and appalled by the lack of personal experience I received here.

I’m a curly girl so I’m always looking for a Devacurl certified stylist. I was so excited that Courtney is the one! Once she found out I’m knowledge about the subject matter, she said the price will be lower – $80 for the cut (instead of $120 or 130). Already big points on being understanding, but Courtney turned out to be an extremely talented human being and stylist. I’ve been getting Devacurl haircuts for 5+ years now and she is the best one I found so far. Highly recommended (even if it means it will be harder to make an appointment with her! LoL)
