Critical: Professionalism, ValueCalled today to bring in my 6 year old. I was told on the phone the cut would be 14 dollars and an extra 5-10 to dry it. After the cut and dry I was charged 38. I was confused and asked why so much and was told with a pretty nasty attitude….. “well I don’t know who you spoke to an hour ago but we charge 25 for a blowout” “also she has hair like a women” My daughter came in with wet hair so they didn’t have to shampoo/condition and has pretty thin hair a little past her mid back. The lady charged me and quickly walked away. I had to ask someone else for change for a tip….which I didn’t care to leave to be honest. This was my second time at this salon. 2 years ago I went for a cut and watched them berate a teenager that came back in unhappy about her color they gave her. The 2 stylist were extremely nasty to this girl and her mom. I swore I’d never go back. Lesson learned.Called today to bring in my 6 year old. Been coming to Oz the Salon for over 4 years, never been disappointed. Danielle is a gifted hairstylist, she is on point every visit (once a month). My color, cut and blowdry looks like I stepped out of a magazine everytime I leave their. And the cut is manageable for me to style. All the stylists at Oz are friendly and amazing at their job. Highly recommend this place for men, women and children.

Tried to get my hair done today, just a blow out already washed my own hair. 15 min job. Call the salon the day before they said they were opened on Sunday never did the woman I spoke state I needed an appt. showed up on Sunday and they stated they couldn’t do my hair hmmmm makes me wonder why is that Oakdale/Bohemia???????? Is it because I’m not the right color for a walk in? Why did they say that on the phone? Do we still have that kind of ignorance in today’s society. I have never ever experienced this from a hair salon.
