She is now located in Bracken Village close to home in such a cute area, but I would still drive further if I had to. I first went to Joselyn because I liked the name of her shop. After that first day, I ended up following her through a few different moves. She is now located in Bracken Village close to home in such a cute area, but I would still drive further if I had to. I gave her complete freedom to do something new when I wanted a change, but needed to keep it work appropriate. Not only do I love the work she does on my hair, but she is so friendly and easy going. Great person all around.

Complete rudeness from Jocelyn. The hairstylist (Jocelyn) I was scheduled to see never told me what room number she was in. Therefore, when I arrived, I waited upfront by the receptionist desk (not knowing that the receptionist was not in). I waited 12 minutes, then I texted Jocelyn, the hairstylist, asking her if I was in the correct place (Salons by Kaye) because the contact I have had with her was through “Outside the Lines Salon.” After no response and now 20 minutes past my appointment, I decided to go ask a lady, whose voice I could hear down the hall. She was kind and helpful, directed me to Jocelyn’s hall. I then asked another lady there and she pointed out Jocelyn’s room. I stood there for almost 10 minutes, while Jocelyn was on a phone call, she saw me and had not made any acknowledgement. I then went to go wait back by the receptionist desk because my daughter was there. As I debated on leaving, Jocelyn finally walked up and called my name. As I followed her I asked if my appointment was at 10:30, Jocelyn said yes, I mentioned that it is now 11 and I waited for 30 minutes. Jocelyn said, “well I can’t help you were late.” I informed her that I was not late, I was upfront the entire time. She told me the receptionist is not in yet and she can not see through walls. So as far as she knows by the time I went to her room, I was late. She refused service because I told her I was not late I was upfront waiting; I can not see through walls either and had no idea what room she was in since that was my first time there. Not to mention, I drove 25 minutes to get there, waited 30 minutes for her to get me from the front, and then she insisted that I was late because I didn’t go to her room and she can not see through walls. Complete RUDENESS!!!! A simple, “I’m sorry for the miscommunication” from a professional position would have really changed the path our conversation led to. I pointed out she never apologized, her comment was “I don’t need to apologize to people who are late and give me attitude.” I acknowledge my attitude and frustration and apologized and explained why. I also reminded her that when she called to cancel our Friday appointment because she overslept (6 minutes before appointment time), no attitude was given, all I said was that’s okay and we rescheduled (after I had already drove 20 miles). In the end, yes service was refused, she never apologized, I said sorry for my irritation but this is why… (above reasons noted), and I was asked to leave. Jocelyn did not close the door completely; it was cracked open. As I left, I opened the door more to let her know next time telling customers what room number she is in will be extremely helpful. And she dramatically replied, “get your hand off my handle and leave.” Calm down drama! Jocelyn has good ratings for her hair services, I can not attest to that because I did not get my hair serviced, just complete rudeness!!!!!

Joscelyn has been cutting my hair for at least 9 years and my son’s for about 3. She’s done tons of styles (from long to pixie on me… from Mohawk to long on my son), and colors (natural to vibrant). We’re always super happy and have followed her wherever she’s gone. Joscelyn listens to what you’d like, but will also make suggestions (she’s saved me from some bad choices). Great availability, location, price, and flexibility. I’ll never go anywhere else.
