Today was my first time going to this establishment. The ladies were awesome friendly the atmosphere had a good energy and a good vibe. I will recommend anyone to go to these young ladies it’s a black-owned business. The conversation was nice smooth, entertaining and on a professional level. The shop is clean from the top to the bottom, nice beautiful seating, beautiful furniture and not overcrowded. They do take appointments online or over the phone as well as take walk-ins. My service today was a fill-in and a nail polish change. I was there for 45 minutes. Plus not to mention the cost was very affordable.

Critical: ValueI don’t get my nails done. I asked a technician if it was disrespectful to send a video and without further conversation they cancelled my appointment. It took 11 times for them to answer their store phone. In my head I thought I could have an open conversation about the design. It turned out they thought I was trying to “teach them how to do their job“. By all means that’s understandable, however, I feel like if I’m still willing to travel to your business, trust your expertise and move forward from my own ignorance that should be considered. That was not the case. They were worried about “Yelp reviews”. So now I feel I’m not welcomed at their establishment period. The situation actually made me more inclined to create a Yelp account and share this tragic story. No one was rude but more importantly to me, no one wanted to hear me out. It hurt my heart so badly that I accidentally offended someone and then was refused service.Honestly I still want to ask my questions in my search for a nail tech. I feel like when you get a client that’s not knowledgeable- help educate them and help them feel confident in their decision with you. Not make them feel like they did the unforgivable.Update: the photo attached is the recent Yelp response from the owner. And below is my second review based on said response.:How did they all even know the video I wanted to send was a tutorial video? Perhaps if they accepted receiving the video and it turned out to be a tutorial I could see where they’re coming from. However, they took such offensive so quickly I felt like I didn’t have space to explain. The energy presented was…nonnegotiable.I don’t consider someone knowledgeable of something if they just send an image? I could agree that they know the direction they want to go- that’s about it.I certainly don’t feel I’ve offended all nail technicians simply based on my question. As I stated before, no one was rude to me on the phone saying they didn’t want me as a client so I’m thrown off by their all caps statement “NO WE DIDNT WANT YOU AS A CLIENT”. I would love to travel to the tech who created the nails I desired, I found them on Pinterest (as many others do), they are UK based and my event didn’t need that extended amount of effort.Unfortunately, in retrospect, I’m glad they denied my appointment. if I had come in knowing the energy would potentially be hostile as it is presented now, I would have been so hesitant to express any bit of dissatisfaction.I am most hurt that they would go as far as to call me a weirdo, publicly. I am happy to attempt to retrieve my call log stating I did not call 46 times. That’s a large amount of calls. No one deserves to be misrepresented in this way.Despite me asking to send a video, as a professional, no one should use such aggressive verbiage towards the public, publicly. This is a Black owned Business, ran by women. Is disheartening to be spoken to with what seems like such hostility. I would have truly enjoyed enrolling in their program, however, seeing as they ended with such disgrace I do not think that was a genuine offer.I had no intention of mistreating this company nor the people who keep it running. Though I did not get the chance to physically work with them, this is what reviews are for! Knowing who we’re going to for our services and sharing our experience. I hope this helps the next person who is timid about getting nails done/ hair done/ or any other cosmetic service. Always be gentle with your words and do not be afraid to ask questions. The light will shine as it has done here!!- Best of luck to you on your journeyI don’t get my nails done. I walked in on a Saturday and I was AMAZED at the beautiful atmosphere! I Googled Nail salons near me and it came up with very high reviews. I was not disappointed on my 1st visit. I tried the Jelly Pedicure and my feet still feel so smooth and that was 2 days ago. The owner was very pleasant to speak with and her Mother was the front desk receptionist. I will be returning with my Mom and Sister very soon! Love it!

The ladies were very sweet, the atmosphere was really nice. I took my daughter for her bday and she loved it . But two of her nails came off. She didn’t have any tips added or any enhancements. They didn’t break, she doesn’t play rough (she’s very girly & prissy). She noticed the nails were missing when she got up this morning. It’s only been a week since she’s had them done ♀️

I’ve had my nails done at a lot of different places, but once I was introduced to Arlisia at Out Of The Ordinary Nail Salon I found my home. Very professional, detailed, personable, and not to mention she gets you in and out within 30 minutes. Never overbooked and there is always a very positive atmosphere.
