Otero’s is solidly tackling COVID-19. The owner has been on site each time I’ve taken my kids there during the last few weeks. He makes sure everyone is safe and the shop is kept very clean. I felt completely comfortable bringing the kids in once I saw the lengths they go through to clean between cuts. Each of my kids went for their first non Kid Snips cuts and they loved it. Stephanie and Gaby took wonderful care of the kids making them feel comfortable with their caring, fun, and warm personalities. Both kids (as well as all the staff) wore masks throughout the cut and simply had to hold them in place when they worked around the ears. They also received fantastic haircuts. I’ll be sure to continue supporting this long standing gem of a local business in the Deerfield community.

Place is regular, nothing exciting. The cuts are 3/5, but staff is friendly. The shave is good. Prices are higher than they should be. I got a horrible haircut, one side half inch longer than the other, lady scratched my ears up with her long nails. Had to get hair fixed. I said I don’t want it short on top, why would you cut it short?

I went in hoping to have my haircut by the gentleman in the first chair (great barber) as he had cut my hair before and did a great job. However the second time around I was sent to a woman that was cutting in the last chair. She took maybe 15-20 min max and gave me a terrible cut. I asked for a bald fade, which is a haircut that every barber should know how to execute. I also payed a steep price (25$) for such a terrible cut. However after re-entering the shop after leaving, I asked the gentleman in the first chair if there was any way he could fix the cut. He was very kind and offered to re-cut my hair. Overall, my experience that day did not make me a happy camper. However, he were very accommodating to fix my cut. I may, however, consider looking into other barbershops in the area as a result of this incident.
