Oscar’s Barbershop offers a family-friendly place to get a haircut, beard trim, hot towel, and/or a straight razor shave sure to get you looking and feeling good when you walk out the door. We specialize in all types of professional clean-cut styles and shaves including flat tops, military cuts, short fades, fades, tapered cuts, mohawks, and much more. Oscar’s Barbershop is located at the intersection of West Van Buren St and North Avondale Boulevard in Avondale, AZ. We’re open 7 days a week and walk-ins are welcome!

Went in Saturday (3/5/22) morning to get a cut, been a while since I had some bad experiences. This time was the worse of them all. I asked for a medium fade with 3 on top and a bit longer up front.

I don’t speak Spanish, and that put me at a disadvantage, but guaranteed one of The barbers will speak some English. With that they’re all friendly, the first fellow( I don’t know his name) was an older gentleman that did my hair. I just said what style I wanted to one of the other barbers, and he translated, this man went to it and it was perfection. I saw him the second time and brought my cousin both of us came out with Great haircuts.

Went in today to get my hair cut. It’s currently 4 pm. Mind you they close at 5pm. Their open sign in on… door is locked they won’t pick up their phone. Not super happy considering I spent $45 dollars to get here because I have no vehicle. Thanks for ruining my day!

I took a ticket to be seen (they have customers or friends or both waiting outside). The ticket numbers were never even called despite the number being displayed on the wall. It just stayed there unchanged. So the barbers were calling people up to the chair by memory or preference, couldn’t really tell. After about an hour, I got to get my hair cut but the shop was closing up soon so it was just me and one other customer. I asked my barber for a low fade. When he showed me the mirror, I mentioned he forgot to fade the sides. He said he’d fix it and then used a razor and shave cream. He didn’t hand me a mirror after that, probably because he was done for the night. I paid their price plus a 27% tip because they stayed late a few minutes. And when I got home I saw that the “fade” was simply never done. I’ll never go back to this place, they either don’t know what a fade is or didn’t have the desire to do it.
