He is very nice and skillful to the extent he gave me a haircut to the perfection. If you’re looking for a good hair salon, particularly for Asian hair, Opal Salon is the one! Opal Salon has nice decorations inside that give off nice vibes, too. Their haircut made me so happy I forgot how a nice haircut can do to your overall well-being! Strongly recommended!

Chet is amazingly talented: a quick glance at a few photos of the color I was after, and he completely nailed it, in a shorter time than I expected. Incredibly efficient, and enjoyable conversation the whole time. It seems like all the other clients who were there at the time were established, long-time clients, and it’s easy to see why. Opal is exactly the kind of salon I was hoping to find.

For 40 years, my mother was the only person to ever touch my hair. After she passed away it took me well over a year before I felt comfortable looking for someone new. I’m pretty sure she would approve! Chet and Terry are awesome people and great at what they do. The vibe in the salon is always friendly and inviting. My boys have had cuts and highlights and are always thrilled with their hair and the conversation. They always want to stop and say hello if we are in the neighborhood. Highly recommend!

The boys are very sweet, but they did mess up my hair pretty badly when it came to the colour and style. I asked for permanent blue and it faded extremely quickly. I also wanted my hair to be straighten and it was still very puffy even after leaving, It’s not much of a salon for textured hair, but they do a nice colour job and are very friendly. Excellent barbershop and many good colours.

I visited Opal for the first time a few weeks ago. We wanted to get my 4yr old sons hair cut. We had been struggling since he was young to cut his hair. When he finally said he was ready he requested a boy do it. I was recommended Opal buy a family member. I’m sure glad we made an appt. Terry made my son feel very comfortable and even got him to use the “baby buzzers” which was a huge deal going in only wanting scissors used in his hair. Chet was also cool to talk to while we waited. I live in Middletown but will make the drive anytime. I’ll also be making an appt. for myself in the near future.
