Critical: Professionalism, QualityThis has been my go-to spot for many years and have typically had good service. Until recently. As I settled into the pedi chair, the older lady who was assigned to me was not at all smiley and didn’t greet me, just started working. Which was fine by me. She’s doing a hard job and no worries if she doesn’t want to chat. Suddenly she stuck the ‘menu’ in my face, tapping insistently at the ‘Deluxe Pedicure’ selection– which is about double the cost of the standard. I shook my head and said I’d just be having the regular. My grown daughter was in the chair next to me and in addition to a pedi I was also treating her to a gel manicure so I’d be spending aplenty that day.The lady yanked the menu away and proceeded to give me the most cursory pedicure I’ve ever had in my life. Scrubbing was non-existent and if another young woman hadn’t been pressed into service to do my polish, I swear she’d have thrown the bottle at me. Her eyes were daggers throughout the procedure and if she hadn’t been wearing a mask I’m sure I’d have seen her baring her teeth at me, too.Last time for me at OOO La la, I won’t chance that kind of treatment again. I was a GREAT customer who typically brought one or both daughters and we would all have the works. Big sale. Not that it matters, but we are also fun and pleasant and always respectful to the nail technicians. And I always tipped 20-25%. But no more. Buh-bye. As I settled into the pedi chair, the older lady who was assigned to me was not at all smiley and didn’t greet me, just started working. Which was fine by me.
