Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueWe hired Brooke and a couple of her teammates for our wedding in December. In total we had 8 gals that needed hair and makeup, including two brides. This was a wedding that was scheduled for 2020 but unfortunately had to be rescheduled due to covid, obviously, to December 2021. Initially when we booked with Brooke in 2020 she was pretty easy to get a hold of and was very responsive to my many questions. Things became a little more difficult in terms of getting a hold of her during the later half of 2020 and the first half of 2021. I think she was dealing with what everyone else in the world was dealing with: covid, rescheduling work/jobs, cancellations, trying to keep her business afloat, family deaths, kids and school, and still trying to keep her family life in good spirits. Of course, as a bride, I was trying to ensure everything was on track, panicking a little, and wanted to nail down hair and makeup. Eventually as the world calmed down – or rather – we found a way to live with what we are in now, Brooke and I connected and nailed down a plan for hair, makeup, a trial, when/where, timeline, the works. She is a pleasure to work with and such a sweet and calm person. My advice is to give her a little grace with responses. She is basically a one-person business (not counting the salon) just trying to provide her amazing services to you. She and her team did such a beautiful job on our hair and makeup. I’ve seriously never looked better and I’ve never seen my friends so done up! A++ all the way, even with some bumps in the road. Brooke, you made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day and I will forever be thankful for your amazing work. Absolutely the best decision for hair and makeup. We hired Brooke and a couple of her teammates for our wedding in December. In total we had 8 gals that needed hair and makeup, including two brides. Critical: ProfessionalismUPDATE: Immediately after posting this review Brooke emailed and called me to explain that she had thought she had sent my contract to me. She did not see my emails and feels it likely got lost amongst the many emails that flood her inbox. She was apologetic and immediately sent me my updated contract after the call.My experience was similar to the 1 star reviews below.Short version: Took my deposit then stopped communicating altogether for the past 4 months.Details:Had to reschedule my wedding to a new date due to COVID-19. I had already paid the deposit. Brooke was initially responsive and understanding, our communication was smooth. She confirmed that my deposit was non-refundable but that she could re-book me with a new deposit for my future date which she confirmed they would be able to do. I agreed and she said she would send me a new contract. I never got a contract. She stopped responding thereafter. No response to my three follow up emails or my two phone calls to her business in the subsequent four months. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt — busy with all the wedding date changes, , financially difficulties in light of COVID-19 — maybe they had closed altogether! …. but then I saw that someone posted to their instagram account 5 days ago.Clearly she is not interested in working with me anymore.
