Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueThis salon was the worst experience of my life. I called ahead of time to ask how much it would be to bleach my hair from black to a honey blonde color but with dark roots and the owner of the salon, Olinda, told me it would be about $40 and up. I also told her that I would bring in hair extensions that are the exact honey blonde hair color that I waned. I came in the following Saturday and once it was my turn in Olinda’s chair, I told her I was the person she talked to on the phone. I also showed her the color of the hair extensions and she said that because my hair was so dark the color she would make my hair would “blend” with my hair extensions. She also told me that it would cost $120 and it be an extra $20 to blow dry it straight . I told her she didn’t say any of that on the phone but I really wanted my hair done so I just let her do it and gave her $80 because that was all I had brought with me. However the color that she done to my was NO WHERE near the color of my extensions . It did NOT blend at all and there were parts of my hair that weren’t even the same color. I can not believe she let me leave her chair looking the way I did. Since she is the owner of the salon I trusted that she knew what she was doing but she clearly didn’t. She didn’t use any toner at all and left me in purple shampoo for twenty minutes which did nothing to help the brassy/orange color my hair turned out to be.
