I’m one of those people that’s normally never satisfied with haircuts. In all my life, I had probably only gotten one haircut that I didn’t immensely regret. More recently, I’ve become interested in somewhat modern-looking haircuts, and I quickly found out that chains like Great Clips just can’t consistently deliver anything better than “just a trim.” I never would’ve imagined that the place where I’d get the perfect modern haircut I’ve been looking for would be called Old Timey Barber Shop. Everything here was just about perfect. I got there around rush hour without an appointment, and the wait still wasn’t too long, despite how there’s only two people working there. The lady who cut my hair was super nice and asked questions to make sure she was going to cut my hair the right way. To put the final nail in Great Clips’ coffin, the price was only $16, or a meager $4 more than an awful cut from the chain. Nothing’s perfect, though, and this place is no exception – I was a little annoyed that they add on an extra dollar to the cost if you pay with a card (I don’t carry cash). Another issue is how the place looks. The outside looks like your garden shed, and the inside looks like your grandmother’s kitchen. They gave me the best haircut of my life, though, so I guess I can forgive them.

Great place to get your hair cut! Definitely recommend! I’ve been getting my hair cut here since I moved to BHam in August and have a great experience each time I go.
