Appointments are preferred – all walk-ins welcome upon availability and parking is available at the rear of the building. Also there is free 4 hour parking in the train station lot across the street. Every cut and style comes with a hot lather shave on sideburns and neck. We specialize in all men’s styles including: Flat tops Fades Hard Parts Tapers Beards Kids cuts Special Requests Cash-only ATM machine located on-premises.

Came here with a friend of mine a while back and it was NOT a good experience. My friend politely explained to the lady who was about to trim his hair that he didn’t want to have a conversation while having a haircut. He is a businessman and had a lot on his mind at the time; he was not being rude in the slightest, just didn’t want to engage in small talk. Later, a woman who was working the cash register was EXTREMELY rude to him, very loudly telling him (within earshot of everyone in the shop) not to be disrespectful of “her girls” and to not come back if he’s going to be that way. I was there the whole time, and I can tell you with absolute certainty that my friend NEVER even once disrespected anyone at the shop, but that woman at the register definitely disrespected (and embarrassed) him. Shocking and horrible treatment of a customer. That’s the last time we went to O’Grady’s Barber Shop (even though we’d been there several times before) and we would NEVER go there again or recommend it to anyone.

O’Grady’s is a great place to get haircuts!! My husband and I have found the perfect place for our cuts! Lindsey is top notch at giving him a high and tight cut, he won’t go elsewhere. We understand that we need to call for an appointment and we aren’t offended if they are filled with appointments, so we are happy to wait! Great job ladies!!!

Last Saturday I walked into this establishment. There were NO customers in ANY of the seats. I was the only customer. I asked if I could get a haircut and was greeted by an individual who acted like I was doing something wrong and got out of sorts. “Let me check” she said with an attitude and went in the back. Moments later came back and said it’s going to be a minute it’s our lunch time and she’s on the phone. Again THERE WERE ZERO CUSTOMERS in any of the seats. But there were two employees just standing there talking. After a minute or two Karina came out and gave me a great haircut. HOWEVER while I was getting my haircut I could hear the same unprofessional employee in the back on the phone discussing scheduling and how a new employee was doing. They also discussed walk in traffic. To which she said proudly “When people call and ask if they take walk-in’s I tell them NO”. THERE’S A STAND ALONE SIGN ON THE SIDE “walk ins welcome” AND a sign in their window “Walk ins welcome”. This establishment or perhaps just this individual clearly doesn’t care about any walk in traffic. ESPECIALLY when I’m sitting in the chair and can hear every word she says. That will be the ONE and only time I ever go there. Perhaps you should avoid this joint as well.

This is hands down the best barbershop in Crystal Lake. Staff super friendly and the vibe in the shop is super chill. I believe they take walking bust still call before you head over in case to save yourself a trip. I see Lindsey and she is so nice and I am thankful she got my hair back to shape. I was rockin something that should have been retired with cassette tapes. She was kind and helped me find something that was more my style. I would recommend the shop or Lindsey to anyone who asked. I never give 5 stars either. So that speaks volumes.

Both of my boys get their groom on here. Great people. Before covid this place was packed every day. We just had to schedule appointments through the pandemic.

Super convenient and friendly. Called ahead and they were able to squeeze me in during lunch on a Friday. Inside, it’s nice, clean, and modern, with plenty of mirrors to keep an eye on your cut. The cut went super fast and includes all the best parts of a cut from a barber (hot lather neck shave!). Prices are reasonable, and they only accept cash like most barbershops. Check out O’Grady’s!
