I met Monique in 2018 when she styled my hair for my wedding and I can say I was very happy with my install and style; since then she has been the only one to do my installs. It doesn’t matter what type of style I’m getting done, Monique always makes sure my hair is slayed to the fullest. I love coming to October Silk! The service is amazing and the way she schedules clients, I’ve never gone and wasted half my day watching her service other people. Monique takes care of my natural hair as well my beautiful extensions and I walk out with my hair laidttttttt to the gods! The location is perfect and her assistant has the most gentle hands when braiding my hair – I’m super tender headed so that means a lot. My edges are intact which is hard to come by. I visited Monique’s salon for the first time today. When I scheduled the appointment and spoke with her on the phone, I immediately felt like she was special, so I decided to take the 50 minute drive, in Atlanta traffic, to check her out. I was not wrong to do so. Monique’s welcoming nature, her customer service skills, professionalism and her talent can’t be beat. She’s naturally personable, friendly and welcoming. Her salon is beautiful and you’ll feel pampered and well taken care of, like you’ve been going to her for years. (she might also help you raise your social media game, like she did for me but that’s a whole other story). Monique knows the beauty business. She’s so talented. My hair was beautiful and everyone who saw her work wanted her contact information. I left looking and feeling beautiful and knowing I was going to be a repeat customer. You get the feeling you’re in good hands just based on your consultation and her personality and then she proves you’re in good hands throughout the process and when you see the finished product. Prior to coming to October Silk, I always dreaded going to get my hair done, due to the inevitable double booking and hours of wait time that seem to go hand in hand with most of the other beauty shops I have frequented over the years. This, however, is not the case at October Silk. Not only can you depend on Monique and her staff to do a PROPER job with your hair, you can also depend on them being courteous with your time and considerate of your needs. In addition to that, Monique and her staff are friendly and easy going, which makes for a welcoming atmosphere. Apart from looking forward to getting a great style, I look forward to going to October Silk because of the experience I know I will have when I am there.
