I enjoy going here to tan. The beds are really nice and they offer high and low pressure along with stand up tanning. Aside from a few of the employees being a tad rude, its a very nice and clean establishment. If you’re thinking about going here for your hair, they offer professional talent in cutting, coloring, and styling. However, I will say that quite a few of my experiences with the hair appointments have been super unprofessional as far as customer service goes. Ive often felt as if the stylists had something better to do, they didn’t want my business, or maybe one or two of them just don’t enjoy their job very much. Nevertheless, I got what I asked for almost every time I’ve been there. The salon experience wasn’t great, but the outcome was gorgeous almost every time.

Hot tanning beds as well as the best lotions for the season! Top of the line spray tanning with no mess and no orange streaks. Three of the most highly recommended hairstylists in three counties not to mention the most creative nail technician around. Under new ownership as of March 2016 and a completely different staff from four years ago. You must check out the renovations and fresh clean atmosphere that Ocean Tanning has now!!! You will not be dissatisfied and if for some reason you are please let the staff know. They will gladly fix any problems you may have.

I am absolutely stunned to see such great reviews. This place is horrible I’m not sure if the reviews are from people who have never been to a real tanning bed or have never been outside of Elizabeth city. There are 3 rinky dink tanning beds one being a stand up, one a regular and the other being a “mobile” tanning bed. Let me just say I’ve been from blue box Sundays tanning in VA to tankini in Elizabeth city and have never had A problem with sharing my sessions with my mom or her sharing hers with me until this place. Kind of ridiculous to tell me how my money / sessions can be used. Any how I hope to get a refund for my money spent here that isn’t used yet I just say go at your own risk
