Kelly has been doing my hair for over 8 years.. I have followed her from salon to salon and Her business is by far TOP NOTCH! Always friendly, extremely clean, very knowledgeable and she cares about her clients and makes sure they look good when you leave the chair!!

Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueSo I started using Kelly a few years ago. Once she opened her own salon I started noticing severe issues. Such as scalp burns, extreme hair loss to the point of having to shave an entire layer of hair off my head. Hair falling off my head while showering. My color always being brassy, uneven and having discoloration and spots all over my hair. During one coloring process I kept telling Kelly my head was on fire and could we please wash it out, she told me I had to wait an additional five minutes. Then once the toner was put on I told her it was hurting me again and she didn’t wash it out until about fifteen minutes later, which resulted in chemical burns all over my scalp. Kelly promised to fix all these issues, I gave her the chance and it only got worse. I do not have any medical issues or hair issues prior to Kelly. I used Kelly for almost a total of three years, these issues started occurring once she opened NV Stylez and was on her own. I now have irreparable damage, I have to pay for hair treatments, steroid shampoo to regrow where she gave me chemical burns, I had to chop over five inches off my hair and pay for expensive products, supplements and vitamins. I have to purchase an expensive wig, because my hair is embarrassing. My new hair dresser is not even sure if what she did can ever be undone. I have been told I cannot color my hair or use any heat for a minimum of one year. When I tell you my hair is ruined I am not exaggerating. When I asked Kelly to refund me and pay for my products she first declined, when I said I would have to take legal action she decided to agree to pay me $400. Which I think was me being more than fair under the circumstances and I was charged around $200 per visit and the damage she has caused me. I felt bad but didn’t want to ruin her career or anything; I just wanted to be able to not have to pay for the damage caused. I even agreed to do it in multiple payments because she said she could not afford it. Kelly made one payment towards the $400 and then I reached out for products and to get the second payment and she BLOCKED me. Since Kelly didn’t even have the courtesy to text me or call me and work something out ( which I would of done like I had before) now legal action has to be taken. I never received an honest apology or any signs of remorse. This is my personal experience and I feel it needs to be shared to warn other people. The worst part of this is not even the money. It is the extensive damage she caused my scalp and hair and that she showed no professionalism or remorse… this is not how people should conduct business and treat their loyal clientele.I always over tipped a minimum of thirty percent or more, for years. Once I asked for a refund, I was barely given the time of day and was lied to and tossed aside. while visiting Windsor Locks, and limited to when I could get to shop. Sharon worked me in with no problem. She was knowledgable about the color and cut I wanted. She was the most gentle hairdresser I have ever experienced. The prices were comparable to back home, unlike most other salons I checked here that were double.
