Then, an hour before my massage the other place called to cancel. I haven’t been to a massage in over four years so to say I was disappointed is an understatement. I called a dozen places and no one could get me in the same day. My last call was to nurture spa and she said yes, come today! I was so excited.Lisa did a wonderful job. Very professional and kind. I carry lots of tension and stress in my shoulders. She used the right amount of pressure and I had no problem communicating to use less or more pressure and what areas I wanted to focus on. About a month ago I started CrossFit and heavy lifting. The massage helped relax sore muscles and was a wonderful addition to my rest/recovery day.I am soo happy I was able to get a same day appointment and will definitely be going back to get more massages here. I dont usually write reviews at all but I hope to help someone by having them read my experience because I would have appreciated that myself. Why does this place not have any reveiws? Why does this place not have a bigger sign? Found this place on Google/Craigslist and I wanted to go to a massage place that was close by where I live so I could workout before and/or after a massage to better my muscle and neck pain. This place is extremely close so I thought I would give it a try. First off the massage was ok, I paid for the 30min one and my shoulder and neck pain was good after 10 min! My hamstring and quad were also tight so I wanted to get a deep massage for that as well. In total, the massage lasted 15 min because I ended it early since I didn’t want to be late for my workout. The massage did help my neck and hamstring tightness, but my whole issue is that they barley speak any English. When I wanted softer or harder pressure, I had to ask like 5 times. Communication is not existent. When I wanted her to focus on my hamstring and quad, it’s like she felt confused. After the massage it took me 3 min to explain to her that I wanted to change my clothes now so please leave the room I have to go workout haha and she finally understood to leave! I didn’t mind cutting the massage short since my neck issue felt better, but she assumed I wanted half of my money back and got kinda angry so I had to explain to them it’s fine. Left a $5 tip after for curtosey and asked what I can do to prevent and neck problems? Didn’t know what I was saying! Finally left and after my workout I called again to see if they could do a 20 min massage since I wouldn’t have to pay for minutes I didn’t use and it would be quicker. Didn’t know what I was saying at all. Hung up the phone and that sealed the deal. I will not be returning no matter how close it is. I don’t want to go to massage envy because it seems like a franchise and does seem expensive and I don’t want to sign for a membership, but I read the Wisconsin athletic club is going to have massage therapy so I’ll be checking that out.
