If you are from in or out of town, Number One Nail is your place to go. I’ve been there many times and they’ve never disappointed. Always feel clean and confident after Lee does my nails. The staff is super friendly and talented!

The worst pedicure I have ever had. I am 66 yrs old so not my first pedicure. I had calluses on one toe and heel. (Summertime foot) I walked out with same foot I walked in with. VERY disappointed . I was told it was too hard for him to do. I wish I would have told them the 38.50 they charged me was too hard for me to do! DO Not Go there.

They are so nice and have a huge selection of colors, types of nails, and treatments. I’ve never had a bad experience here. I actually like the Husband’s nail skills a tiny bit more and the grandma is a superior artist with doing designs on the Nails but honestly, they are the best in my opinion. I’ve been here several times and this is a family owned business. They are so nice and have a huge selection of colors, types of nails, and treatments. I’ve never had a bad experience here. I actually like the Husband’s nail skills a tiny bit more and the grandma is a superior artist with doing designs on the Nails but honestly, they are the best in my opinion. My nails have lasted me a month with no chipping, breaking or loss of shine!!

I was surprised to read so many bad reviews on here! Vivian has been doing my nails and my eyebrows the last 6 months and does a wonderful job. The nails stay on longer than any place I’ve went to, and she is the BEST at getting the perfect eyebrow wax. Haven’t ever experienced bad service. Love this place and I recommend it!

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE service and way too expensive. I’ve been going somewhere else recently and they do a way better job and there prices are way cheaper then what number one nails are. Vivian and her husband are very rude!! I quit going there when Dan left. Dan was excellent and very helpful but when he quit I quit going there because Vivian and her husband are absolutely rude and not helpful at all and there very rough. When they were filing my nails they were twisting my fingers all different ways and I said ow a couple different times and they still kept doing it. And there’s been a couple different times now that my appointment was at 1pm and I had too wait 2 hours until they were able too get too my nails and the acrylics do not last at all. I had my nails fall off a week after I got them done and the place that I go too now my nails stay on for at least a month or 2. I would not recommend this place at all!! If you want a good nail salon go too TyTys nails in Grinnell Iowa.

This was by far, the worst experience I have ever had! The lady cut 3 of my toes & made me bleed. I chose to get Gel polish done since I wanted to pamper myself….When she was done, she had painted the skin around my nails too! The gel cured to my skin & she didn’t even bother to fix it! Then! To top it off, when I went to pay, I was charged $51!!!! FOR A REGULAR PEDICURE! $30 for the pedi & an extra $20 for the Gel polish! They don’t list that among the prices on their board which is very DECEPTIVE!!! I am beyond infuriated for having to pay $51 for a BAD pedicure! I want my money back.

I have been here four times and the service is not consistent but has been decent until my last visit. My last peducure was so bad I hated to pay for it and I did not leave a tip. I usually tip generously. I was not relaxed during the pedi because I knew she wasn’t doing a good job and it frustrated me. I don’t know if the lady was not feeling well, off her game that day, lazy or too old to be working but she seemed distracted and was acting odd. I ended up being there a long time because even though I had an appointment, they kept me sitting in a chair with my feet soaking for half an hour while they worked on other people. I wouldnt have minded it so much if the massaging chair wasn’t so difficult to keep running and if they would have kept the water warm. When the elderly lady finally came to do my pedi I told her the water was cold and asked her to warm it up. She stuck her finger in it and stated it was already warm but she did add more warm water. Weird! And some other wierd stuff happened with our communication but I wont go into that.The main reason I get a pedi is to get my cuticles trimmed. She barely touched my cuticles and when I asked her to focus on my cuticles she ignored me even though her son repeated my request in their language. She barely worked on smoothing my rough skin and when I got home I felt my feet and they were still rough so I had to do it myself. She used a scrub on my feet and legs but she spent a scant amount of time on that. She didn’t completely rinse my legs and as they dried I had to use a towel to wipe off the remaining scrub. Then, she didn’t lotion my legs. When I was getting my eyebrows done I mentioned it to Vivian, the lady doing my brows, so she lotioned my feet and legs. I had to wait a long time to get my brows done, even though I had an appointment. I was there a total of two hours. However, Vivian does an excellent job on eyebrows and I highly recommend her. My cousin was with me and a man did her pedi. He did an excellent job. I could tell by watching him. My cousin raved about her pedi. However, that man was here from Arizona visiting his family so he does not normally work there. Again, I will say that the other 3 times I have had a pedi it was decent but not exceptional, just average. The eyebrow service is exceptional. IF I return to this spa, I will not let the same woman do my pedicure and that could be uncomfortable if I have to request someone else. I encourage you to give the salon a try and judge for yourself but I felt like my money was wasted this time and am not sure if I will return because I can’t afford to waste money.
