I have been a client at this establishment for approximately four years. My hairstylist Demetria is AMAZING! She listens to my concerns about my hair and provides sound advice that is in my best interest. She is punctual and dependable–qualities that are appreciated in a business of service. All the other hairstylists and the owner are cordial, which makes for a pleasant atmosphere and positive experience! As long as my hair is natural and my hairstylist is there, I will remain a client of Nubian Designs.☺☺☺☺☺

I like the stylist. I thought she was pleasant and quick with her work. My only dislike is that in my personal opinion natural hair styles should not cost more. But I do understand it is a labor of love for the stylist. It is a talent she is good at it. I recommend people to visit the shop all the time.

Had a appointment which was scheduled in advance for a color and style, only to get there early and wait an half hour after my scheduled time. I was then told “Oh I’m going to have to schedule you for a color consultation, then I can do it next week” Like we could have been done that! They sent two messages confirming the appointment for a color and style. Did they ever think to inform me in advance about a consult?? Nope……… This experience not only was a waste of time but I found it to be very unprofessional!

I am very pleased with my stylist Demetria. She’s always there for my appointments and I’ve never had to wait long before she gets started on my sister-locks retightening (I’ve been going to her for two years now). She and the other stylists at Nubian Designs take pride in their work and are very pleasant to their clients. If you are natural or even thinking about going natural, this is the place to go!

Got my 4yr old sista locs installed by Chavala and she did an awesome job. She was very patient with my little one and her customer service was outstanding. She worked very diligently and I am very happy with the job she did. Her craft is impeccable. The shop was clean and everyone was friendly and welcoming!!

They did a great job on my niece’s hair. It took a long time, 5 hours, but they managed to get her to keep still. They played kid friendly movies on the TV while she was sitting in the chair and let her get up for breaks to stretch and move around when she needed it. If you’re looking for a natural and protective hairstyle for yourself or your young one I highly suggest Nubian Designs.

So I called Thursday morning to see if anyone in the shop could do a wash and braid down for me. It states that they open at 8 am well I called a few times from opening time til a hour after no answer. So around 2 after waiting on my husband to get a hair cut I called again. There was a lady who picked up asked if they had time to do the service I was looking to get and before I could ask the lady went in on me saying she had already talk with me and had already let me know that they were busy. It’s funny she stated this because it’s no way on God’s green earth that she had spoken to me and if she did why waste my time to call back. I found her to be a rude person and trust I’m happy they could take me I’m sure I wouldn’t have been happy with the service anyway. Please know the way you handle business is sad but good luck with future business
