John is a gem, and I’m so grateful my friend introduced me to him and this salon. I was nervous to go this short with my hair, but not only is John clearly experienced, he knows how to communicate around it and its very easy to just want to shut up, trust him, and let him work. But if you need it, like I did, he’ll communicate every step of the way, which he did for me and I appreciated it. He spoke about cutting hair, lines and shape, products, and seasonal changes, both poetically and intellectually, which is basically my love language. He took what I said I was looking for and customized it to my face shape, the way I go about my days, my preference (or lack thereof) for high maintenance and products, and he absolutely nailed it.

He’s technically a master colorist, but it’s his haircuts that elevate color to über-phenomenal. Now I’m that random woman with the amazing hair who gets stopped in the street all the time. I enjoyed my haircut with Alex. The salon is clean and has a minimalist/industrial vibe. It is conveniently located on Main St. in downtown Peekskill. He spent a full hour on my hair and even gave me some tips on products and application. I never felt as if he was asking me to purchase anything additional. Prices are average for Westchester salons ($60) and I feel it was worth the attention & service I got.

John and his team do amazing work here. They’re friendly, professional, and know how to give you a haircut you’re happy with every time. Can’t recommend them enough! Felt very safe visiting during the pandemic, facemasks and temperature check are required.

Critical: ProfessionalismMy first time being at this hair salon in Peekskill. They completely did the opposite of what I asked, and tried to cover up the results. I had came in, and discussed with the stylist that I wanted a trim (1in) and want to add in long layers. When I’d left my hair looks fine Beng down. But I mostly wear my hair up or curly. My ponytail is not “#goals” and I would NEVER come back to this salon again. Would not recommend for long curly girls!. Staci did my bridal updo for my wedding yesterday, and I am beyond happy with the experience! I had shopped around a little in the area, but Staci’s confident and relaxed attitude made me feel the best about this decision. (And on top of that, no “bride/wedding tax”!) On my wedding day, my mom, sister and I were all warmly taken care of. I had shown Staci inspiration pictures, and she talked me through different options to achieve the look and their pros and cons. At different stages of doing my hair she checked to see what I wanted, and made sure that it was perfect for my special day. The wedding process can be so stressful, but I had a great experience at Nourish. For any brides out there looking, I would highly recommend Staci and this salon!

I never write reviews! But I Loved!! I usually go elsewhere and no complaints there but i needed a cut last min. Let me tell you I will definitely return. Welcoming. Honest. Kind. Great environment. Wonderful vibe. I just had the best experience as a first time client. Staci was great!! Listened..gave her opinion..advice… super sweet. I feel like nowadays it’s so hard to find people that will just be honest, fair and give credit to a whole different business and not try and persuade you or diminish someone else’s work just to keep your business. Great place!
