Critical: Professionalism, QualityI saw that this place was open at night and had been there once before several years ago so I figured I would try it again. When I went in, even though there was a sign that said masks were required, the lady in front was not wearing one. The people working in the back were though. plastic separators between seats were dirty but ok. Not particularly friendly but I can live with that. They left the door open with the sun shining in and I needed to ask them to shut it. A customer and a few of the workers walked through the area while I was having my foot massage and were talking like they were out in the street (no spa etiquette) which was really surprising. the massage itself was ok but $25 it was good. That part that left me so angry and upset and wanting to write this review was when I left. I go to pay and lady said $25. I gave her a 50 and she gave me 25 change. I give a 5 tip (20%) which I thought was appropriate. She gave it back and said no 10 tip, hard work. I said thought that was a bit much but I was groggy. I walked out and thought about it….first a tip is supposed to be customer discression and based on performance. I have never had someone tell me they wanted a bigger tip. Secondly, I ended up giving her the 10 because I was confused and taken by surprise…that is a 40% tip!! That is crazy. I will never ever set foot in there again. It is rude and unprofessional and, in my opinion inaccurate. I have never been called stingy and 20 or 25 % for outstanding service I can understand but 40% for a massage that wasn’t even in a spa like environment with proper spa etiquette shocks me.
