Positive: Cleanliness, ProfessionalismNite owl is a fantastic shop. I went there for my very first tattoo. The tattoo artist, Eric, took his time to discuss what I wanted, how it would work best and made suggestions I hadn’t even thought about. He quickly put my mind at ease and came back with a beautiful stencil. The result was a beautiful tattoo that I will proudly show off. The owner was fantastic; checking in to make sure everything was running smoothly. The shop is clean, bright, well lit and has the best playlist. It was a great experience. Nite owl is a fantastic shop. I went there for my very first tattoo. The tattoo artist, Eric, took his time to discuss what I wanted, how it would work best and made suggestions I hadn’t even thought about. He quickly put my mind at ease and came back with a beautiful stencil. The result was a beautiful tattoo that I will proudly show off. Critical: ProfessionalismGreat artists, can do great work. This is of you can get ahold of them. Had to reschedule due to illness, kept saying they’ll relay the message. Never got a call back. Got told to email and one reply asking when I could have time that fits. Never got a reply after that. Paid on time, as one should, tip at each session, and deposit for each session. Although the owner, Will, has more of a traditional style, he’s always willing to accommodate to what I’m looking for and will exceed my expectations every time. I’ve gotten 4 tattoos done by him, all of which have incredible detail, care, and color to this day. In addition to the insane amount of talent ALL of this shops artists have, they are also great when it comes to communication. When my mom passed away, Will fit me in with less than a days notice (since I was flying back out that evening) to tattoo her handwriting on my ankle. Although the owner, Will, has more of a traditional style, he’s always willing to accommodate to what I’m looking for and will exceed my expectations every time. I have been getting tattooed here since 2014 by Will. The atmosphere when you walk in is inviting and all the artists are very friendly. All of my tattoos are excellent and have held up so well over the years. I have referred at least 5 of my friends to Nite Owl and all of them left with great work by several artists. As a client who has gotten to know the owners over time I know they care deeply about their business and will do whatever they can do to ensure you have the best tattooing experience. Amazing shop owner!!I noticed there was a recent negative review, and I wish I could comment directly on it. So I will address it here.These artists absolutely take pride in the work they put out. There is a reason they are booked so far out. They are worth the wait.It is so common that the artist draws for your appointment the day before or the day of. That is common practice and I don’t know of a shop in the area that doesn’t work that way.I don’t know where the placement of your tattoo is, but I can guarantee wherever it is you probably have to distort the image to see it, thus making it look crooked.The tattoo is unfinished I assume so some of those line work issues you speak of are probably not even going to be recognizable once the tattoo is finished.If you wanted a day scene, you should have said something before the tattoo was started. You are 100% correct when you say the tattoo will be on you forever, but it is your job to SPEAK UP if there is a detail they may have missed. Tattooers are not mind readers. So you should have said something.Tattooers put their heart and soul into everything they do, especially at this shop. We’re you aware that tattooers get home from the shop and immediately start drawing for their next set of appointments? They are sometimes up all night (hence the 1am email you received). They sacrifice time with their family to draw for your tattoo.. They put in as much time possible as they can into each tattoo they do.You saw the drawing before you even stepped foot in the shop, so again, if you were unhappy with the design IT IS YOUR JOB TO LET THEM KNOW. If they needed more time to alter the drawing etc then you would get rescheduled.There are two sides to every story and I highly encourage anyone else reading these reviews to take into account the MANY MANY MANY positive reviews, and that the negative review (especially the one I am addressing in particular) did not use proper communication, and hasn’t reached out to the shop to make it right, which I fully and wholeheartedly believe that Will would do everything possible to make it right.You owe the shop and your artist an apology… and as you said, you aren’t an artist… so you have no idea what the process is. Go back to leaving bad reviews on Christmas tree farms because the trees aren’t tall enough for you Love Will! Great guy. Awesome tattooer.
