I was taught masterful african skills and techniques from a young age in Senegal, and have been braiding professionally on the west coast from LA to Alaska for over 15 years. She also gives you tips and informs you how to take care of the braids. Absolutely worth the price and super easy to make an appointment. She’s always on time even got me in early which was a wonderful surprise on a Friday. My grandma in Kenya also loved the braids and said they were done beautifully well. Update: I’ve been her client for 2 years now and Nini is the only one I trust to do my hair she is phenomenal every time I get exactly what I want and she braids so quickly it saves me hours. My hair has also grown faster than it ever has using her shea butter and she has helped me fix my scalp issues. I drive for 3 hours to see Nini she is worth it!

On a whim, I called and requested an appointment with Nini. I am so glad I did that. She was excellent! Very professional, very friendly and suggested what would be good for my hair (opposed to what I wanted) and boy am I glad I went with her suggestions. She is FAST! 4 hours later my hair was done. My hair looks AMAZING!! So worth the 2 hour drive to see her. She’s gained a customer for as long as I have hair on my head.

If you are looking to have Senegalese twists done, do not sleep on this review!! Nini has mastered this hairstyle, HANDS DOWN. Each strand is so clean and neat, proving that she took her time to serve up perfection. I couldn’t be happier! I just wish that I’d known sooner to come to this location. I’ve had my hair done in many cities (Detroit, Atlanta, New Haven) and without a doubt, I recommend Nini for twists. She provides the hair, offering a wide variety of colors. I am definitely coming back!
