I moved to the south suburbs in 2018, and have been looking since then for a hair salon. I have medium length hair, but a lot of it & it’s very thick and wavy. I think I tried 6 different salons and wasn’t happy with any of them. I even started going to my old salon where we used to live, over 90 min away, because I was so frustrated. Then I saw reviews for Niki Moon and thought “why not”? I am sooooooo happy I found this salon! I love the salon itself, very inviting. The people who greet you and help you check out are super nice, patient and very helpful. Then there is my stylist Samantha, who is phenomenal. She knows how to cut my mane so it’s easy to style and keeps my waves happy without weighing them down. I had highlights done for the first time with her and could not be happier. She is thorough, makes sure she’s clear on what I want and has great suggestions. She’s also very kind and accommodating. I have finally found my place! I can’t recommend it or Samantha enough. The reviews don’t do this place justice. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming during my visit with Allie. I haven’t had a hair cut in years as it’s hard to find someone I can trust who won’t take off more than I want etc. Allie was amazing! She took her time listening to my needs and explaining what would work best for my hair type and style. My hair left so much healthier than when I went it and it’s SO soft and the perfect cut for me. Couldn’t be happier and I will be back! Highly recommend this place for all your hair needs!

Beware, styling is apparently not included in your haircut. On the website they said that stylists “discuss styling options” during haircut sessions however that was not the case for me. I already did not quite enjoy the layers that my stylist cut, so I was excited to have my hair styled, until I found myself being lead to the front desk. I asked my stylist if there was a possibility to blow dry style my hair but she said that it was not included in my cut. Then she said that she could however, she was already with another client, so I decided to just leave.

First time at Niki Moon and they did not disappoint! I went in for a trim and balayage but I didn’t have my heart set on anything specific color-wise. I gave my stylist Maritza an idea of what tones I might like and she created something for me that is absolutely perfect and SO flattering. All of the staff I encountered were so friendly and sweet and the salon itself is absolutely gorgeous. I’m obsessed with my hair!
