I’m a new client of this business. I got my hair gone originally on Wednesday, my hair was one color and I wanted something new for fall. My hair stylist was very friendly and meticulous. Since my hair is naturally dark it took a while for it to lighten, no biggie. The first pictures are of the first round of toner and it didn’t come out how I wanted it but I couldn’t stay any longer to have another toner and style done. They were able to fit me in a couple days later, which was today (Friday 9/16). Since my hair was wet and I styled it at home after the first visit, when it dried I got a little scared that it was completely messed up and my anxiety left me thinking it was going to be a nightmare to fix. However, when I went in today they assured me it only needed another toner that was slightly darker and it would be okay. They were so right and I’m so happy with the final result. I didn’t have to pay for the second visit. I was a little on edge when I got there but they were very accommodating and made my hair look beautiful. I’m terrible with names but I’m pretty sure Sarah is the stylist who took care of me start to finish. I am so happy with the final result and I will be going back! They came to do my sister in laws wedding and every bridesmaid complained. We asked for body in our hair but every one of us ended up with updos that looked like we wore a helmet for 5 hours. It would be one thing if we asked once and we’re unhappy but we asked multiple times and you can only ask so many times before you realize that nothing is going to change and you’re at risk of sounding rude. We didn’t make a scene because the bride was already stressed out and we didn’t want to cause a problem. They didn’t even really curl our hair… put about 2 curls in and pinned it back…it just didn’t look anything like what we had asked for. I have curly hair and they didn’t even style the front of my hair…no straightener or curling they just pinned it flat to my head with the frizz. I was at the verge of tears when I left the chair. Thank God she had another hairdresser there from a different salon that fixed all of our hair. The makeup was ok but still not wonderful and all of our lashes were falling off within a half an hour of them leaving….we didn’t even get out to the ceremony yet. Good thing someone with us had eyelash glue. They told us they would do final touches before they left and they didn’t and none of us had lipstick on by the time we went out because they never refreshed us before they left. Please put in perspective, I hate complaining. I never do. This is honestly the only bad review I’ve ever given…but the services were so unsatisfactory that spending $150 on hair and makeup that had to be fixed by another hairdresser and makeup redone by ourselves is completely unacceptable. Maybe we were too quiet about it, but I think after asking for a redo multiple times by multiple bridesmaids that there should be some understanding that what they were doing just wasn’t hitting the mark.

We booked Niki Marie Salon for our wedding hair/makeup for the bride, 3 bridesmaids, and 2 moms. Bailee and Courtney came and performed services on site at our venue the morning of and did a fantastic job! I had some comments on things I wanted done differently after my trial and they PERFECTED both my hair and makeup on the day of. Highly recommend! Thanks girls!

I had a horrible experience with a stylist in Fort Plain. I emailed Nikki right after my bad cut and she was able to fit me in right away. After my cut at Nikkie Marie’s my hair looked so much better. My stylist Courtney was such a sweetheart and really easy to talk to. At the end of my appointment with Courtney I booked another hair appointment AND a lash extension appointment.

They do great hair cuts! But DO NOT get your eyebrows done here. They do their own thing and they do not ask you how you want it done or anything. You have to tell them exactly how you want it done whether it be you want them shorter, the width to be shorter or stay the same, etc. One of the hair dressers did my eyebrows and she made them so small. I had gorgeous long busy eyebrows I just wanted a touch up. Now I’m stuck with tiny stick eyebrows. Never again!

They gave me an appointment for a little later that evening and said it would be $5 (Walmart couldn’t get me in but they charge $21.95 for a bang trim). I work out of town Monday-Friday nearly every week of the year but never very long in one place so I’m always going to different salons. Niki Marie’s is the best place I have gone to in years. Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityNEVER NEVER NEVER have I ever been treated with such a lack of professionalism and care for a customer in my life!!!! I checked into my appointment a few minutes early, only to wait 30 minutes, not acknowledged once while sitting there, to have to ask the receptionist why I’ve already been waiting for 30 minutes when I made an appointment. The response is, well she’s running behind, she says it’ll be about another 25 minutes!!! I literally made an appointment for to TRIM my hair and yet I’m expected to wait an hour past my appointment time. I understand running a little behind, but an hour?!?! And to act like it’s no big deal just means that they do this kind of stuff all the time. Not only did they lose a potential new customer, who loves to do crazy colors and such, and never minds paying for quality, but now I have every intention of letting everyone I know just how unprofessional this place is. NEVER NEVER NEVER have I ever been treated with such a lack of professionalism and care for a customer in my life!!!! I checked into my appointment a few minutes early, only to wait 30 minutes, not acknowledged once while sitting there, to have to ask the receptionist why I’ve already been waiting for 30 minutes when I made an appointment.
