I’ve been coming here since it was called Chic Dominican, literally since I was in middle school. I don’t know what this place is and all these money hungry greedy women. Now they charging for everything from the extra $5 for long hair, or curls, since when is styling my hair $5 extra and don’t go on the days they have a special cause they are gonna charge you to wash your hair and the special is $55 for the blowout by itself. So you’re basically paying for if you go in a regular day for $70. They are scamming people in there and as much as I love Ivelisse doing my hair (unfortunately Josie left) I will not be going back. Lia Dominican Salon in the area is a good salon to go to ladies.

Stylist did a wonderful job. I always have to ask how much before they start on my hair. For example I came in today and asked how much was wet set, stylist said $45. I got my hair done. I went to counter, I was charged $50. The $5 was for the flat iron curl which has always been included. Person at desk put cash in purse–now owner understands why he/she isn’t making money. In addition, I am told that I need to touch up thie roots of my hair, i.e. color. I asked how much, stylist said $150 and up. If I am sitting in your chair and you are looking at my hair–give me the specific price Here we go with creative pricing ummm.

I have had the other stylist and her styles last longer and her color does too. It could be cleaner and it does take hours. Be ready, take a book or magazine. But My hair is healthier than it has been for a while, she gives great tips and her color covers my grays well. Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, QualityI took my daughter on a Thursday to get deep conditioning treatments (that are normally free on Thursdays) , a roller set for me and blow out for my daughter. They were short staffed with only 2 stylists and no one else, and rushing. Some lady came in half asleep and upset to help them with clients and she completely ruined my hair. I come to this salon every 3 months for the last 3 years and not once had a problem. This lady caused so much heat damage to my hair, blow dried my hair and cut it lopsided, didn’t even section it off to flat iron it. Just did it in big pieces! My hair usually looks so amazing and it looks so terrible now. I have to cut off Atleast 3 inches. On top of that, they charged me $70 for 2 steam deep conditions when I said we were there for free deep condition day. And the stylists just walked off with attitudes when I asked why my bill was so high. I paid, no problem but I will NEVER come back here. I have been periodically having my hair done at this salon for years, even before it was called Neydi’s. I have watched the prices go from very reasonable to outrageous! I literally just left the salon a few minutes ago. This is an in between hairdo that I get when either braids are not in the budget or I just don’t feel like sitting for them. Well today was my absolute last time having my hair done at this salon. The service was mediocre at best. They staff argued amongst themselves most of the time I was there. But the last straw was when they told me my hair was $90!!!!!!! This is NOT a $90 hairdo!!!! I wondered quietly why all of the young ladies were leaving the salon with no curls in their hair, not even a bend at the end!!!!!! Why would you want to send someone out of your salon looking like that! Looking a mess!!!!! They really should be ashamed that they have come to this!!! All they were doing was straightening their hair, because they charge extra for curls!!!!!! That is sooo insane to me!!!!! They need to post a price list and be sure that we know that we are paying extra for each little thing they do. I would have surely turned around and sat for some braids today!!!! I’ve gone three times over the last 3 months. In December I paid $65, January I paid $70 and today I paid $90! Each time plus two tips… one for the shampoo tech and one for the stylist!!!! Never ever again! Again this is not a $90 hair do. And I wasn’t given an option of whethwr or not to have my hair steamed.

Jossie is my stylist she is very professional and great at what she does, if she isn’t there I won’t let another stylist touch my hair because I’ve had bad experiences in the past with two other stylist. The female owner with the little dog is a scammer she make up prices from the top of her head, she has a bad habit of touching people instead of just speaking, please beware of the owner she’s a scammer.

I called for a shampoo and press which I was quoted $55 upon arrival the lady in the first chair to the right immediately when you come in quoted me $65 I left my child there with $80 cash and she kept all of it pure trash just because ya think we don’t understand getting over it doesn’t mean do it! Bad enough ya here in this country off of grace alone doing shady stuff
