She took time to explain the “what & why,” and a week later…I’m still very satisfied. I have very tight curly here, and It’s not easy finding someone who understands or knows how to cut it. I got my hair cut today at a different salon and let me tell you….I was furious. It was nothing like I wanted. I had reference photos of my own hair and the result was disappointing. I came home in tears. So I started calling around to other salons asking if there was anyone who could fix it. That’s when I called this salon. I was told the owner, Jocelyn, would redo my haircut. She was so attentive and patient with me and with what I wanted. It was executed so beautifully and it turned out to be exactly what I wanted.The previous stylist cut my part where I didn’t want it resulting in hair falling in the wrong place. The parts of my hair that were shaved were uneven resulting in a patch right next to my ear. The longer parts of my hair looked like, as my fiancé called it, a mushroom and were also cut uneven in places. And I ended up with clipper burn. I could keep going but I think you get the point.I came in to see Jocelyn already defeated but she proved me so wrong. I can’t give this place enough praise. If you want a stylist who listens, adapts, and who truly cares about her work then you’ve come to the right place. I would give more than 5 stars if it let me. I went to Nexx Faze after my at-home hair coloring did not turn out how I wanted it to. When I went in for my appointment I felt like Jocelyn was very rude and disrespectful to me and refused to listen to what I wanted. My hair looked awful at the end of my appointment and the next morning, my lowlights had a green tint to them. I had to go to another salon and they were shocked at how my hair looked. I scheduled an appointment to go back and talk with Jocelyn about possibly getting a refund and I was treated extremely poorly and I was told that “because I am a teenager I know nothing”. I eventually received a small percentage of my money back. I was shocked at how my hair turned out and how Jocelyn treated me at Nexx Faze. I will not be going back and I do not recommend this salon at all.
