Terrible for hair cuts! I went to get a woman’s haircut on my blonde hair and the service was absolutely horrendous. I asked the lady if she had the shampoo for colored hair and she ended up using some very drying shampoo. She also charged me $15 for a “hair mask” she used. She then blow dried my hair without putting any products and gave it a blunt cut. They don’t know how to work with textured hair/dry hair and don’t condition at all. It’s unbelievable how she charged me and let me walk out the salon like that.

Love love love this place! Anytime I’ve been here for a haircut (with or without an appointment), they’ve taken care of me quickly and done a fantastic job. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I’ve had my hair cut by 4 different staff members on multiple occasions and walked out happy and in love with my new cut each time. My kids got their first haircuts here (they were scared little 3 and 6 year old girls) and the staff was sooooo amazing with them. Amy is so kind and gentle, she reassured my nervous daughter and had her at ease immediately. My kids had a great experience and have not been worried about getting their hair cut ever since then. Paul is a rock star, he’s done a beautiful job with my cut and dye several times. And every member of his staff is a talented professional. This is a family run salon by salt of the earth folks who truly care about their customers. And above all they are really skilled at what they do.

After reading poor reviews, I still gave this salon a chance to share my experience. Granted, communication may be a challenge as English is not their native language. I met Amy and discussed thoroughly the style that I was aiming for; albeit a simple cut honestly. She was fantastic and provided me suggestions on how to maintain the look. She’s been consistent because she knows what I’m expecting as a repeat customer. I highly recommend her.

I have been coming here for many years now. Since the beginning of this year, I’ve been getting my hair done by Michelle and I absolutely love her. She is passionate about what she does and guides you correctly. She takes her time and makes sure you are left satisfied. I’ve shared two different times I’ve gotten my hair done by her and she delivered exactly what I wanted. Highly recommend this place!

New Looks is the BEST PLACE to get haircuts, styling, shampoo, color, perm, straightening, keratin treatment and waxing eyebrows, lips, face, lashes, and special occasions makeup and up-dos. I’ve been a very happy customer for six years, and Paul was my stylist before he and his wife started this business. They are serving Sugar Land, Missouri City, Stafford, Alief, Richmond, Rosenberg, Houston and surrounding areas. All of the stylist that have served me, have been very skilled, friendly, respectful, and humble. Finally, the prices are very affordable, especially given the quality and friendly atmosphere.

I’ve been going to New Looks Salon for 2-3 years now. They’ve always charged me $15 for a haircut every time. The last time I went, the hairdresser charged me $20. I was shocked and assumed she made up her price because it is not a retail store. I didn’t say anything. This time around, I went again thinking that was a one time thing and gave the salon another chance. I walked in, sat down, and a hair dresser (woman with golden hair, I think her name was Jolie) asked what I needed and if I had an appointment. She was irritated that I didn’t have an appointment and told me to sit. I showed her pictures on Pinterest of the back of the head and the bangs I wanted. She asked me if I wanted styling and I said no. I suggest brushing your hair beforehand, she was very aggressive and I’m pretty sure she pulled some of my hair off. After she was done, she showed with a mirror how the back looked and it looked nothing like the photo. I wanted long layers and she gave me a U cut. I told her that I was hoping that it was more angled and showed her the picture again. Keep in mind I have long hair. She told me, “Well, if you want that then I’ll need to cut more”, I asked her if that meant cutting more in the back, and she said yes. I told her nevermind about that because I wanted to keep my hair long. I came in for a 2 inch trim and shorter curtain bangs (awful, jagged). The owner, I believe, overheard, came by and showed her that she needed to cut the sides more (I understood Vietnamese). She did that and then got a flat iron and styled my bangs even though I told her before I didn’t want that. It was even worse than before, she asked me how I liked it and I just wanted to be nice and said it was good. I was ready to leave. She charged me $20! I gave her $21, because 1) she overcharged me, 2) was unfriendly, 3) did styling when I said no already, 4) lied about how I needed to cut more hair if I wanted the cut I wanted. She gave me the $1 back, I was confused. She said “where’s my tip??” I told her I thought it was $15 (the sign said $15) and she didn’t say anything. I pointed at the dollar. She took it and it’ll be the last time I’ll be here. If someone thinks they are so entitled, stand your ground.
