VISITED THIS LOCATION LAST SATURDAY SO THAT MY DAUGHTER COULD GET HER HAIR BRAIDED FOR HER BIRTHDAY.. GOT HERE AT 12:30PM AND WALKED OUT AT 5:30PM. NOT TOO BAD. Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, QualityThis is the most unprofessional place I have ever encountered. They give you an appointment and you wait an hour later. You show up and the shop is closed. They will not call you to reschedule and everyone acts like they can’t speak English. The braids are not quality braids anyway. They only have 2 braiders. This is the most unprofessional place I have ever encountered. They give you an appointment and you wait an hour later. You show up and the shop is closed. They will not call you to reschedule and everyone acts like they can’t speak English. The braids are not quality braids anyway. They only have 2 braiders. This is the worst African hair braiding place. Please go somewhere else these woman are not professionals. You have been warned.

I was thinking if I should put this but I called a hr before going to get my hair done and they said 3 hrs. Well I went in at 12:45 and the lady started doing my hair at 106pm. So why did I leave at 7:30. The other thing is they kept burning me with the water. They also did not ask the length they assumed that cause I’m young I wanted my hair to my but and I did not. I will say that they was nice and professional. I like Saba maybe I spelled her name wrong but she was great and she half my head.

I went to see them a day prior to scheduling an appointment to ask about the pricing for different styles of cornrows. If I can give this place a zero star I was going to this braiding salon when they first open and stayed for years until I seen how the owner treated her clients she herself was very unprofessional and I see where her employees picked it up from . But one thing is I still kept my same braider from there which she left and did her own thing Ms Mimi was the best braider they had .Good Luck if you come to this establishment unless they changed management you are definitely going to be F…….!!!

At first I wasn’t sure if I wanted to patronize this braiding establishment especially after reading the reviews….but desperate times calls for desperate measures. walked in on a early Sunday morning wanting to correct a mistake that someone did the day before on my head. The stylist was Braiding a client hair but took the time to assist me and answer all my question . My time was one hour and a half for my particular style . Mima is the name of the braiding stylist I had she was very nice gentle and professional. Mima even notice that my hair was thin and she whispered that observations not yelling out as not to cause me embarrassment I thanked her and let her know its due to the medication Im taking now . Even later during the day I felt no pain or tightness. I’ll will definitely be returning as long as Mima is there and New Look .. keeps this new Manager.

So I made an appt for this Salon for Sunday at 4 pm. I made it about 1 week prior for an event that I had Monday morning. So I get there about about 30 min early. Walk in, their are two women working on one head. The stylist are both looking at me crazy like I’m at the wrong place. (Let’s just keep in mind on there website the salon says open 7 days a week from 7am-11:30pm everyday). Finally one of the ladies speak after 15 min, She says “what are you getting” I say “regular small box braids”. She says “is your long enough”. I say “I don’t know, you tell me” . I then sit down for another 15 min. Just for her to tell me the dumbest statement ever “i don’t think your hair is long enough can you come back tomorrow”. I said “What?! One I have to work two (at this point I’m very irate) MY HAIR ISNT GOING TO GROW OVERNIGHT! It’s either its long enough or it’s not. She says well I have a meeting at 6:30pm so I can’t do it. I went to coco braiding gallery As soon as I left. No appointment, no issues with my hair length… had no problem getting my hair braided. This salon wasted a whole freaking 45 min of my life to tell me that she had a meeting and couldn’t do my hair. Don’t lie and tell me my hair was too short. Who lets 200 dollars walk out the door like that. I never got my hair done at this place but it was a very unprofessional experience.

They used to be good a couple years ago, I don’t know what happened. The attitudes the owner has like it’s a task for her to have to get up & actually do you hair. The last two times I went I took my hair out within 24hrs…..pissed!! I will NEVER go back there!!
