Used to come here every week. Everything is good until today. I called and made an appointment to come in at 4:30. 4:15, they txt me and asked if I can come in at 5pm. I said no and they told me that they are not available at 4:30pm. Needless to say I will never be back

Critical: ProfessionalismThe massage was for my son and a Groupon gift given to him for his birthday. The massage was great for him. Everything was fine with the visit up until I was almost out the door. The owner scanned my Groupon code at the beginning and because I’m used to paying after for massage services, as I was walking out the door I heard the ladies talking pretty intensely in their native language like it was directed toward me so I turned around and asked if everything was ok or did something need to be finalized and the owner said “yeah you forgot to tip my girl” in a very rude tone. I said I was sorry and tipped what money I had on me and the lady who did my son’s massage looked at me like I gave her pennies. I guess she expected a $20 tip or something. I’m used to tipping on my receipt after at my normal parlor and have never been scoffed at for a tip, so because I didn’t pay at the end it slipped my mind. The fact they automatically entitled themselves to a tip is very wrong and it raises a red flag for me as to the integrity of this business. We had credit with Groupon so we decided to search local areas for a massage. We found this place on Groupon for one massage at the price of $49. So I decided to give them a call to see if they had a same day appointment and if I could use the Groupon deal. The front desk lady name Amy responded and asked me “you buy the Groupon already?” I told her that we were just about to buy it (with our credit of course) and she responded “no don’t use Groupon it’s more expensive, buy here and I give to you cheaper for $45.” She kept trying to convince me that buying in person would be cheaper for us, which is only $4 cheaper. I never told her that I would buy in person but instead that I’ll be there for our 3:15 PM appointment. Call ended.We arrived early at 2:30 PM and thought maybe we can try to be seen earlier so I went to the front desk and spoke with Amy. As I walked in, she did not have her mask on. I informed her that we arrived early and was wondering if possible, can we can be seen sooner. She giggled, looked at the clock, and said “no we have people in the back, so I walked out to wait in our car.3:15 now, my boyfriend and I walked in and a previous client was walking out. Seemed to me that he was trying to pay for additional time/service because I overheard him say “90 more minutes”. I then overheard her tell him that she could not allow it because she had another client (pointing at us).We’re now at the desk and she asks “which service would you like” I informed her that we have a Groupon voucher. She immediately responded with an attitude “what?! You told me that you weren’t going to buy Groupon?!” I then told her that we had credit with Groupon so we decided to use that. She then kept repeating herself that she told us that it would be cheaper in person. I then repeatedly told her that we had credit with Groupon and it wouldn’t make sense for us to spend more money. She then had the nerve to tell us “see client wanted to pay me and I turn down for you.” I then got really irritated and told her “don’t worry if you don’t want to honor our Groupon, I’ll cancel it and take our business elsewhere.” She then said “no it’s okay, I’ll take it, but my client want to pay me.” My boyfriend and I walked out after this.Again, I never write bad reviews, but her attitude was unacceptable. And then trying to blame a client who had an appointment for why you had to turn someone’s request down is also unacceptable. I’m in a lot of pain. I’m upset because it’s the fact that my massage therapist did it so forcefully and rough but had no concern about how (I) the customer felt. This isn’t me paying you to hurt me, I’m paying you to relax from a hard days work. Teach people the basic words in Chinese: slow, soft, hard, fast or have a sign in English that suggest the “intensity” of the massage. Everyone is different.
