Booking the appointment online was easy, I was able to get my hair done the same day I booked. Love, love, love that they wash your hair and don’t give a hassle about it like other shops. The price for a wash and cornrows with extensions was excellent. I had Nerua do my hair and as a first time customer she made me feel relaxed and comfortable. The shop was easy to find and very clean and I love that they accept cards for payment. Definitely plan on returning for anytime I need my hair braided and bringing my family along to get there’s done as well. Thank you so much!!

I’ve been a loyal customer at Nerua’s shop for a while now. I’ve gotten relaxers in the past and this has never happened to me. NEVER AGAIN. I went to Nerua’a about 6 months ago and I’m still suffering from what happened. Long story short I came in for a touch up relaxer which she left on for over an hour. She then convinced me a needed a trim even though I had one a month before. She then proceeded to give me a cut and layers that I didn’t ask for. The whole service lasted about 5 hours and she passed me off to every stylist in the salon for no reason. No one was busy. I was told my service would be $80 but I ended up paying $140 for the touch up and cut I didn’t want. I ended up paying around $240 because I had to tip every stylist that touched my head. Today I was looking at my hair in the mirror and I made the awful decision to shave it. The damage is too far gone to my hair. It doesn’t lay correctly and reacts in a way it didn’t before I visited Nerua. Not to mention the cuts and burns I got on my scalp when a 15 minute touch up stays on for an hour to “process”. I really wish I spoke up sooner, this morning I looked in the mirror and cried for about 20 minutes. I’ve made very bad decisions regarding my hair but this salon trip was definitely the worst. Great environment with excellent customer service. I have come to the shop for knotless box braids, as well as an updo for a wedding. Booking appointments is quick and easy, through the Booksy app. I have also bought top quality beauty and personal care items including essential oils, shampoo, and African black soap. Nerua’s offers a wide array of hair and beauty services which never disappoint.

She was nice, the shop was clean and she was on time but these are NOT knotless braids. It’s like she braided some and then attached the hair. I attempted to question them and her excuse was my hair texture, different technique etc. I don’t like to argue with people so I just politely said thank you paid my $180 and left. I will not go again.

This shop is so lovely! Nerua is super nice and I absolutely love what she did with my hair. I came in as a walk in (my first time at the shop) and she was super helpful with explaining what she was doing with my hair and she also gave very helpful tips toward how to strengthen and make my hair more healthy. I couldn’t have been more impressed with how my hair came out. She was very patient and I feel I was very lucky to have found her shop because my last hairstylist cancelled on me the night before my appointment. I will be going here from now on.
