I went to get my hair braided yesterday. I have to admit, I had worked a double shift and was tired from the day before. I’m preparing for a cruise with my high school classmates of 30+ years, so I wanted to look extra special. I brought in a picture of the example of the hair style I wanted in corn-rows. I then kept the picture on full display the entire time so she wouldn’t “lose track of through look”. I would express some areas to correct as she went through through the process of styling my hair, and she would constantly come back with the response, your hair is not soft enough – lie!! Also, what difference did it make what texture my hair was? She added hair in the style, and I had weave human hair for the ponytail portion of the style. Well long story short, I kept looking at my hair this morning, and it is CLEARLY CROOKED! I texted NeNe’s Hair Braiding and Weaving (HAWA), and sent her a corresponding picture to support my concerns. She read my text – never responded. I sent another text – never responded, although both times, it showed she had read my message. I then called her; she answers. She proceeds to tell me that I should have said something before I left the building. However, I’m trying to be considerate given that she had her kids there and they were saying they were hungry, I didn’t go over my head with a high level of scrutiny, plus, I was flat tired. BUT even if that’s the case, she was given concrete evidence – a clear untouched picture – no filter, of my head displaying, without argument, that my braids were crooked. She proceeds to start yelling, then hangs up on me. Let me be clear – THIS LADY DOES NOT HAVE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS, PROPER DECORUM, PROFESSIONALISM, NOR THE ADVANCED TECHNIQUE SKILL SET – She is just basic! That’s it! If you want something more intricate – DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT GO TO THIS WOMAN! She will try to put the blame on you or your hair texture, if she is unable to secure the look, because she lacks the capability. She also lacks accountability, when she makes a mistake – she takes no ownership when she fails to hit the mark; poor qualities in a business owner. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT ON HER PREMISES AGAIN!!!! Do yourself a favor and take my advice – KEEP YOUR FEET OFF OF HER PREMISES TOO!! You will thank me!!!!!

This is the best hair braiding salon in the Tucker and Norcross area! She is friendly with great pricing. She doesn’t pull edges too tight and does clean parting and is fast! I have long 4c style hair and often need a protective style. Honestly, I wouldn’t trust my braids with anyone else.

We had no discussion about needing more hair. Zero. In fact I said something after you were done and I called you as soon as i got home as well. You double down and made no attempt to remedy the situation. I’ve got different size braids all over my head. You said after you were done you made them bigger because you were running out of hair which made no sense because I KNOW the bigger the braids the more hair used. (As stated above) Then I told you about the parting was crazy and uneven, you made no attempt to correct it. That’s terrible customer service and I’ve found 2 other locations way better. And I took my hair out and got it redone. My second experience was nothing like the first. And your apology is insincere as you have lied on your response. So that further let’s me know there was no misunderstanding. I paid and tipped you regardless. And still attempted to work something out before leaving this review.
