What is going on lately. Last two times there the employees are pushing services.. rushing you, not doing a great job and make it clear they want you in and out with as many upsells as possible. Generally I go there monthly. I think this was my last time. Also noticed ‘the boss’ at front desk has gotten unfriendly. She talks on her earpiece while doing someone else’s nails and it’s not making appointments. It’s chatting away while the girl politely tried to interrupt her with her concerns of nail length! Sad to see a previously great place going down hill as competition increases. Will say one employee was doing pedicure next to me and she was lovely to her young customer. I guess my girl and owner/manager having a bad day. I understand it was late afternoon but they couldn’t have made several of us feel more unwelcome. We were strangers and commenting to each other. Sad. I’m sure pandemic affected them. Maybe that’s why? Although I’d think with things getting busier they would be welcoming. Note I did try to email them rather than public post but no email on website.

I had been a customer here for quite a long time. I’ve always been very patient when it’s busy and thankful for the services they provide. I’ve brought groups of people with me as well as visiting guests. The last two times I’ve been there I’ve been left waiting with either partial or no services ever provided and then told they were too busy to complete my services. Today I was given an appointment according to their schedule -not mine- and when I got there I was told by the very nice person who was asked to give me a pedicure that she really doesn’t do nails! I said I’d wait for someone to be free and was told by the owner that they had no time (she booked the appointment) and next time I should be specific about what I wanted when I called! All I asked for was the usual manicure/pedicure just like everyone else! I am quite disappointed to have been treated so poorly after being a loyal (and high tipping) customer for so long. I will not go back.

A week ago I went to Needham Day Spa for a gel manicure. I called ahead and arrived 2 minutes late (I’m sorry! :S) but was seated right away. The location is clean, bright, and calming. My manicurist Dee used a sanitized set of tools that I saw come out of the plastic packaging. She was incredibly detail oriented- I haven’t had a manicure in months and she made sure my cuticles were perfect before she painted. She was friendly but not invasive (I tend not to like to talk much during spa time so I dislike when someone tries to talk with me the whole time). My manicure looks like it was done yesterday and with my profession manicures rarely last more than 5 or so days! I will continue to visit Needham Day Spa and my new friend Dee as often as I can!

She refused to put toe separators causing my pedicure to mess up causing her to have to paint them all over again. When she redid it she used the toe separators. She talked to her coworkers the whole time…presumably about me advocating for myself. Can’t help but wonder if this was racially motivated as the white folks that came in while I was there received first class service. Poor work. Even worse service. they are ok at acrylics but sort of uneven. But definitely go when they are NOT busy. My sister was forced to have her manicure in the pedi chair and the lady gave her attitude when she asked politely if they could use a new tool. They also made her bleed.

This is like the best nail salon in Needham. I got my nails done and they were so polite. I definitely recommend powder or gel because both are so nice and soothing. There are many different options and choices to pick. And getting it was definitely worth it

The Needham Day Spa is a beautiful and relaxing salon. I went there for french tips and a pedi. I was very nervous about the tips because I’ve seen some women wearing some that look very fake. Lisa did an amazing job on my hands and then Vanessa gave me the best pedi of my life. Using 5 different products, she scrubbed, masked, moisturized all the way up to my knees and then did a perfect exfoliation and paint job on my toes. The service could not have been better. I am booking another appointment for a facial next week!
