First time coming here and I’m not disappointed! I showed the lady a picture of what I wanted my hair to look like, so that’s what she did with it. I sadly didn’t catch her name, but while I was making small talk with her she told me that she’s been cutting hair for 14 years right in this salon. Absolutely love my haircut walking out of here. I showed the hairstylist my photo of what I wanted my hair like. She gave me exactly what it looked like in the photo I showed her. She was very meticulous of the job she was doing and took her time. I feel she went over and above with my haircut. I am so grateful for the job she did. I will definitely try and make sure I have her do my hair again. Very pleased with this salon.

I came here because of all the good reviews but what I got was far from. I showed her a picture of what I wanted (simple layers) and came out with a 90s style choppy cut. There is no blend to the layers at all and I can’t wear my hair straight without the harsh layers showing prominently. I have to go to another salon to get it fixed when all I wanted was a simple haircut. Plus, I ended up with a much shorter look than I asked for. Makes me wonder if the women who cut my hair, though extremely nice, even knew what a point cut is to get a better blend. I’m not a hairstylist but I have an aunt who used to cut my hair and have asked enough questions to notice how wrong it all seemed only to straighten it out the next day to see how bad it really was. I honestly believe she did not do her best and even though it was close to closing time, she could have paid more attention to detail, or just told me to come back the next day instead of rushing it and giving me such botched layers. I should have known considering the books they have for style references are extremely dated to a time before I was even born.

I have been going to ND’s Family Hair Salon for about 10 years! All the staff how to cut your hair if you stylist is busy. They don’t have a big turn over of stylist coming and going!

I have been going to this place for 17 years. I have never gotten a bad haircut. The stylists are all very experienced and do good work. I don’t consider myself high maintenance or very picky but I cannot say the same good things about a quality service and haircut for other places I have gone to. There is not much Ambiance here. It is pretty basic but it is clean and the parking is good. I try not to come during peak hours because there is a line. If you come off hours you are able to get right in. I suggest if you have long hair that you make an appointment of course. I live out of the area now and Camarillo but whenever I am in Hueneme try to stop in and get my haircut.
