She cancelled on me THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT, stating she had an emergency, had to run errands, and had to get my hair. She asked if she could reschedule me, and when I responded back, no confirmation. I didn’t even get a chance to experience how good she is. She did my friend’s hair and it came out really nice, but my dollars will go to someone else.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueThe environment in this hair salon was very welcoming. Mrs. Ndey was very pleasant to talk with as well as very professional. I walked into the salon early this morning as a “walk-in” because I didn’t have a prior scheduled appointment. Within minutes she told me to come back the exact same day which was a blessing because I tried to go to another salon today but they reached back out to me and told me they did not work on Monday’s. I have a very important meeting on tomorrow as well as take my graduation pictures(now that illy hair is slated I can schedule)….. I made an appointment Friday for Sunday. Nay, the stylist, was 20 minutes late. And she told me she tried to confirm via call that I never received. When I called the morning of she didn’t acknowledge a canceled appointment but expected me to wait til she chemical set another client before starting my hair. I took my money elsewhere especially when she could have told me she canceled my appointment that morning. Terrible customer service.

Critical: ProfessionalismNdey was trying to price gouge me which was very unprofessional. She was changing the price from $180 to $200 to $220. I suffered for 8 hrs getting my hair braided. (Which was my fault for sitting there taking the pain!!!) I constantly asked if she could be a little more gentle she said ok then proceeded on pulling my scalp OUT!!! I saw a flyer for Ndey’s shop in a local Chinese spot. I am new to the area, and needed a new stylist that could do my natural hair. Well I found her! I went to Ndey’s shop recently for a blow out and trim. I was a late afternoon walk-in and she had to fit me in, but did so without so much as a hesitation. She was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about her craft. My favorite part was her offering to grease my scalp for my braids I would be getting the next day. It was most appreciated. I also love how she shampoo’s and conditions. She gets all in there without scratching your scalp with rough nails. I definitely plan on going back. She’s great!

Ndey has been doing my braids/twists for almost 5 years. She does FANTASTIC work!! I’m always getting compliments about how nice my hair looks. Whatever I envision for style and/color she is able to make it and it looks just as good as I pictured. She’s very professional and works efficiently. I highly recommend her as a hair stylist!!

The Braid completly RIPS from my scalp leaving me with a bald spot. She was never ready for my appointments. This has been the WORST hair dresser. Now I have to figure how to grow my hair back. Maybe she is good with braids and wigs but not with natural hair as she claimed. She cut off all my hair at the back. I should have known when she grabbed the clippers and started like a barber. My whole head is a disaster. I don’t even have hair to braid so I can hide the disaster until it grows back. After spending $140 with my own color that she put on the back of my head. What a way to start the year

I’ve had this particular style done numerous of times but to feel good in the chair, no uncomfortable timey burns or craziness at all. Everything was nothing other than excellence.
