I have been goin to this salon for about a year now. When I first came in I had just did the big chop so my hair was about an inch or two long. Now it’s at my shoulders. I must say Grace is doing a wonderful job on my hair. I won’t let anyone else do it but her. Thanks girl your the best. I definitely recommend her for natural hair!!!

I was looking for a new natural hair stylist in Charlotte and I decided to try Gracie out; as her shop was very close to my house and her reviews were pretty good. Her space was always very clean and she had a sweet and positive attitude. In the end I did decide to part ways and go with another stylist. I get my hair done every three weeks and Gracie styles did not last on my hair. After 2-3 days it looked as if I had gotten my hair done weeks ago; especially if I worked out. Everyone’s hair is different so she may work for you even though it didn’t work out for me.

I recently had the pleasure of getting my hair pampered at Naturaltress Salon. The atmosphere is wonderful and relaxing. I tried the thermal smoothing process which made my hair very soft and silky as if I had a relaxer….but of course I do not. I’m all natural. I did not have to wait for long periods of time before I was attended to and my stylist was excellent. She was very knowledgeable about natural hair and made sure she did not use too much heat on my hair. I have received so many compliments on my hair and I have been referring Naturaltress Salon to all who ask….GIRL! WHO DID YO HAIR? LOL!

Ladies, do not waste your time. Especially, if you are not from Charlotte and are looking for a natural hair salon. Like many young professionals, I have only lived in Charlotte for a year and was in need of a hairstylist in my new city. As I search online for local salons, I came across Naturaltress. As always, I read the reviews and felt that maybe the negative comments were not as dramatic and could have been overlooked. Boy was I wrong. Unfortunately, the negative comments that were made are the SAME issues I had with the salon. First, it was very difficult to get in contact with the employees at the salon to make the appointment, but the next day I did hear back from a stylist, which was not too bad. As I explained to the stylist, I just needed a wash/conditioning and my hair cut evenly.She agreed. The day of the appointment, I enter the door and it was just unpleasant. The stylist was very dry and did the exact opposite of what I informed her of what I wanted. So, she simply wash and condition my hair, blow dried, and cut my hair. Lets start with the hair cut. She stated that I only needed my ends cut and my hair will be even. So, after she only cutting my ends, that was it. . . Yes, no style no nothing. BUT WASH AND CUT. . . Secondly, She bluntly said, after the obvious awkward atmosphere, “well, its a extra charge for a style outside of the “styled cut”.” Remember, she did say that I only needed my ends cut. . . Thirdly, the stylist cut, which was only my ends cut, was over $40. Oh, and including the wash and blow dry that she quickly incorporated to explain herself. I have no problem paying for services that are well worth it, but people the salon was not up to part, the stylist (well the one who I worked with) was not as pleasant as you would think, and people I paid over $40 for my hair being wash and ends cut, not a stylish cut. I say this because I simply can not understand why the stylist would allow a possible new client to walk out of the salon unsatisfied with the service but with her hair looking a horrible. May I add, my dissatisfaction was bluntly expressed and the stylist could had cared less and stated that for any extra services I would have to pay for it and that she will be able to work on my hair after she finished with another client. I simply denied the offer and left. Lastly, after sitting in the parking lot for 15 mins because of disbelief, I called the salon once I arrived at home. I called the salon several times and the calls were ignored. Yes, she did call back hours later but at that point I was just over the stylist and the “company” as a whole. Ladies, good luck if you choose to overlook the negative comments for the over priced introvert employees of this hair salon.

I tried this salon twice. The booking process was very organized. I drove over an hour because I liked what I saw on line. Both times the stylist was late. (Gracie) I had to call her. (?) Not once did she apologize for being late. She was very talented but not very professional when it came to being punctual. I think I’ll try one of the other ladies next time. Their customer’s were engaged and left the salon smiling, feeling pampered, and looked beautiful.
