This was my first trip to this salon. I received a wash and conditioning with steam treatment. My ends were also trimmed, and my hair was styled. My hair was trimmed just right. I loved the service I received. Monica was very professional, the conversation was upbeat, the price was fair. I would recommend Natural Essence to friends and family.

Mrs.Monica, is so professional, and my hair has flourished and become healthier since I have been going to her. She has so much knowledge about scalp & hair health. She communicates with all styles, and even goes so far as discussing different ways she can help with any issues that might be occuring. She takes appointments, and I have never had to wait when I arrived. I have extremely thick hair, and she is always so patient. I have been going to her for 3 years, and highly recommend her.

She will schedule you for an appointment and then 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment she cancels on you last minute. Another issues I had is that she would never get back to you to reschedule the appointment. It was as if she didn’t want my business or that she just completely forgot about me. To this day she has yet to reach out to me to reschedule or just give me any kind of explanation. I’ve given this woman over hundreds of dollars of my hard earned money and you would think that she would show me some respect and at least let me know what was going on. She will schedule you for an appointment and then 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment she cancels on you last minute. I went to Monica to have my sisterlocks retightened and I told her specifically that my hair was done in a four point rotation and she twisted it and put the lock through the center leaving a hole in my lock. I’m just praying that this can be corrected. My hair overall looked nice but the opening through the center concerned me and the twisting which caused my lock to loop up at the root. I just wish she had told me she was doing something else besides the sisterlock process.
