I have been to this parlor twice now, and both times, I had one of the best waxing experiences ever. Least painful, high quality wax, and no hair left behind. Molly and Jasmine are professional, nice, and a joy to be around. I have had bad experiences in the past, so I warned them about my sensitive skin and desire to have full eyebrows, and they were happy to accomodate and work with me, making me feel very comfortable. I will continue going here and highly recommend it.

I have been going to Molly for over 5 years now. After trying over 10 estheticians, Molly is the best. She is the most meticulous and spends time getting every excess hair. I feel extremely comfortable each time I go to her salon and have never had any problems scheduling appointments with her. She only uses high quality wax, so my skin has never been irritated.

Let me just take a moment to tell everyone how awesome Molly is . She has this new spot called Downtown Wax Parlor in a great location in downtown Redwood City. She’s been working and doing waxing for 8 years now and finally has a spot of her own that is amazingly super clean and professional. She makes you feel comfortable even if it’s the very first time being waxed. She uses top of the line products and always keeps up to date on what’s coming out new. She uses this amazing numbing spray before every wax so pain is to a minimum. I honestly have known Molly back when we were just kids back when her Esthetician and waxing days were just an idea of something she wanted to try. Well it turns out it was a great idea because she is very talented at the hair removal art and not just because she is my friend but because I also love the way I feel after going to her for all my hair removal needs I seriously wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.

I cannot speak to the quality of the services that they provide however I can speak to the customer service which is very lacking. I had scheduled an appointment with Molly and this was my first time ever scheduling something with this business. There is very little instruction on where to go. I did not know that her parlor was inside of a larger salon studio and that would’ve been helpful information to know with it being my first time. I arrived at the time of my scheduled appointment. I saw Sola salons and I did not think that was the correct establishment so I decided to give the number a call that is listed on my appointment. However I called twice and there was no answer. I walked around the building quite a few times to try to figure it out and then finally I went inside Sola salon to ask someone and I found out that her parlor was located inside. By this time my appointment time has passed by 10 minutes. I find her and I tell her that I had been calling and she told me in a not very empathetic boys that they don’t receive service so I needed to text or iMessage. Telling a customer that she is somehow supposed to know to text her rather than call like a normal business would is unprofessional. She was unapologetic she told me that I was late and I did not have time for my appointment. In the future it would be extremely helpful to include this information while booking because with me being new to to the area and with this being my first appointment it would’ve been nice to be able to contact the person since I was unaware of the location. A business should be accessible by phone if customers are unable to locate them also to answer any questions. How are customers supposed to know that texting is the best option for them? Again I did not receive any services however I just want to new customers to be aware. I do not see myself booking another appointment here due to their lack of professionalism and customer service.

Services are by absolutely 5/5 Ive kept trying other places before and they’d either leave small patches by mistake, or would be aggressive etc. She was amazing, my skin is super polished and smooth everywhere, and it was a great experience as well. Good price too!
