I had a mediocre experience. To be fair, my nail tech wasn’t Karin. I was with a brand new one. We never really clicked and I felt awkward at every appointment. I felt so judged to be myself so I dreaded my appointments. My biggest concern was that I specifically only scheduled appointments for gel only with two nails getting nail art because that was what my budget was and because I need to keep my nails short because I teach piano and ukulele lessons. At my second appointment, I was confused because she didn’t do a gel soak off, she just scraped them off like with luminary. When it came to pay, she immediately announced that she did luminary because my nails were a little longer and that’s what she thinks is best for my nails from then on. I felt so awkward and didn’t know how to tell her I wasn’t okay with that. It is more expensive! Every appointment I told her I wanted my nails shorter and she would sigh and I could tell she was upset so they were never as short as I liked because I felt uncomfortable saying anything. Lastly, I wish the studio had a website because Instagram is inconvenient. I randomly had one of my appointments in January just cancelled but I never received a text nor a message telling me when I could reschedule. This was frustrating because I had purposely planned my appointments months in advance so I could get work arranged around it. I imagine they probably sent some type of announcement on Instagram but I never saw it because I’m rarely on it. I wish I had received more information. I’m keeping the review three star because my nail tech was talented, but she just wasn’t a very open honest communicator.
