Absolutely love Nail Tek! The team is so friendly and it’s extremely clean. My gel manicure easily lasts for 2+ weeks each time. Last time, I brought my two daughters for their first manicure experience and the team couldn’t have been sweeter. We will definitely make it a monthly tradition to all go back together now! The worst nail polish job I have ever gotten. My previous nail polish wasn’t entirely removed, there’s gunk in my cuticles, flecks of the old paint all over my fingers, part of my nail wasn’t painted, there’s gel polish stuck to the bottom side of my fingers, and under my nail (see pics). The nail tech was rude, acted like I was inconveniencing her, and left my nails (and fingers) a mess. They offered to fix my nails, which I appreciated, but I didn’t want to be there any longer. I’m not normally one to get upset, but I went back in after leaving and told them that this is unacceptable and unprofessional. I just can’t believe this and I’m sad I wasted $20.

The first time I got my nails done here (Helen) they were great! The second time I had a different tech (don’t know her name) do them and they were terrible. They were not shaped to my nail right, the polish was sloppy, she barely looked at my nails while working, either talking to her coworker, or watching the TV. However they were fine with me coming back the next day and getting them fixed at no charge. I don’t know if it’s common for the second nail tech I had to do a poor job (but I see other reviews that sound similar to my experience, and the description of the tech sounds like her), but Helen did a great job the first time I went there, and she did great fixing them! (though I do wish they would have just taken the nails off and started over because they were done poorly in the first place and you can only fix so much without redoing them entirely) I don’t like to be the person who complains, and I did feel a little bit like I was an inconvenience while getting them fixed, but the few times I’ve been there they seem to be very busy. That being said, I can understand being overwhelmed at times, so I don’t think any of that frustration or whatever she may have been feeling was unjustified. I would likely feel the same way if I was in her shoes, fixing something that wasn’t my fault, while I had a lobby full of people waiting. I would still recommend this salon to people, but I would tell them to be cautious of who they see based on my experience.
