Got a manicure yesterday at Nail Spa 39. The women were very nice and that’s the reason for the 2 stars. The nail tech took her time and gave me a great hand massage at the end of the service. But the craftsmanship was subpar. My nails are lopsided and uneven. If the edges and corners of my nails weren’t missed completely during the painting process then they are already chipping away. I visited at 6:30PM and they closed at 8pm. This may be the reason my nails turned out this way. I didn’t complain to the nail tech and still left a good tip because she was kind and tried to be accommodating. However, I’d only visit again if it’s the last resort. If you’re a perfectionist then PROCEED WITH CAUTION or not at all.

Terrible customer service. I wanted to make an appt for a full set; they stated they didn’t take appointments at this time due to only having 2workers that knew how to do them… i was instructed to call another day or before I come so I can “walk-in” however, before my trip I called “before hand” for a “walk-in” & was told they couldn’t do my nails b/c they had other appointments……….. will never spend my money here again. Very racist.

I was in town with little to do, so I wanted to have my old polish removed, nails shaped up, and fresh polish for my weekend in town. Hence, I decided to support a local business. As I browse through and found the nearest walking distance salon, I chose to come to Nail Spa 39. The salon had a nice, relaxed atmosphere, technicians were in mask, and overall a clean and inviting space for a nice day at the spa. I was greeted at the door and sign in per protocol. Usually, a nail polish change is the most basic service you can get at a nail salon, yet Nail Spa 39 did not deliver. Prior to going over to the drying station, I had to asked the technician to clean around the edge of my nails because it was applied on messily and unevenly. She was about to send me to the drying station without noticing the messy paint job. There, she should have seen the uneven polish on my nails. However, I left out of there with my polish looking like it melted off my nails, surface feeling a little rough, and uneven coats of polish applied on both hands. For $14, service ($10) + tip, this is not a place I would be back even if I was in town next time. I’m extremely disappointed. For the cost, I could have gotten the supplies myself and do a better paint job in the comfort of my own home.

To start, they seemed annoyed that I didn’t want to uncharge my service with Gel polish or the sugar scrub. Next, they used a pumice stone that had been used before and then threw it back onto the cart for their next foot fungus victim. Then came the gross pink lotion that they rubbed into my left leg for so long it became weird. They were lost in conversation with another co-worker and complete forgot about the other leg (thank God)! Barely pushed back my cuticles, cut my nails square and didn’t round the edges, slopped on some polish and done. Worst pedi of my life (not that I’ve had a ton) but this was far from relaxing and definitely not worth $28 plus tip. I’ll paint my own nails next time.

Got there around 5pm and was totally fine with a wait, some girls came in after me and they were apologetic due to the fact that the girls had an appt before me. Totally okay. Got my fullset done and she asked if i wanted a design, i said no at first but she asked two more times so i said sure. I had gone in only wanting straight black, but decided that i wanted only one finger one each hand a differing color. the polish phase some fibers got onto the polish, i thought she would notice, but she didnt. She wiped them down and kept going. 3 nails were messed up and i had to point that out for her to fix it. She then pulled out the jewels and i declined. She insisted, but i declined again. She said “well wont this be cute” i said no, i like them plain, she then asked if i wanted jewels on my other nails. I declined for the 5th time. Then she pulls out the silver and said she was going to do some designs on them, i said no again, i told her i liked them plain and that the two colors i had picked out were bright enough. At this time my car was ready for pick up at the shop, so i left after she was done and noticed all the polish on my fingers, with the polish being gel i knew it would peel off as soon as it unstuck to my fingers. Then i noticed some other nails had polish missing polish on the sides. I went back and all she did was add another layer of polish on them. Ive been to this place 3 other times and had decent experiences, here i am walking out at 8pm with my nails looking terrible! Im gonna stick to solar nails from now on. Im so upset i wasted so much time for them to look like this!! The pix are AFTER they fixed them. So so soooo upset ill have to go to another place and spend more money, them to fix whats already been done or just get a whole new set. I should have asked for a refund. My middle finger nail is completely crooked!! Look at the pix!!

I had to point out that my nail and jewels were crooked. I was wait for these for a hour and a half and ended up leaving with nails that weren’t fully polished and a couple lumpy nails. Most definitely was not worth the wait nor price.
