Looked online for an acrylic nail removal and found them. They’re right down the street and on their website it states that it’s $10 for an acrylic nail removal with no service. I called to verify that they were open and that the price was correct. The guy on the phone stated it was $15. When I got to the shop, I told him what service i wanted and that on their website it says it’s $10 and not 15. The guy started my nails and was doing a great job, a couple came in requesting pedicures and so he stopped mid service on me to go and service them, I’m unsure if he was instructed to do so since he was speaking to his coworker in their native tongue. He was doing a good job, so it’s nothing against him at all, just an annoyance since I was there first. Then a lady who got there late (employee) came and finished up my nail removal, she did a great job as well. Very efficient. When I got to the register, she said it was $20. I was shocked because the price kept going up and it doesn’t match what their website states. I understand that inflation is happening and people are just trying to make a living, however, it seems as though maybe they make up prices as they go along? Maybe everyone isn’t on the same page. So she spoke to one of the guys in their native tongue and then she says to me, ok it’s $10. I paid and tipped her since she did provide a service and did a good job. I won’t go back because that was my first time and I didn’t like that. Seemed untrustworthy.

I waited for 45 minutes and eventually left without getting a pedicure. At one point one of the workers left to go pick up another worker but upon their return they skipped over me to do a fill in for someone else. No one said anything to me as I left. Very unprofessional. I understand staffing restraints but you should at the very least attend to customers in the order they came in.

I am a regular customer here until today. I have noticed subtle racism before but it typically was denounced by gaslighting. Today was a prime example of the micro aggressive behavior exhibited by this company and those alike. I walked in and stood for almost 4-5 mins. It was almost as if I wasn’t even there. Then I sat down and waited patiently. About 15 mins later a white man walked in and immediately he was greeted. They stopped servicing their clients to assist his needs. I’d like to mention that all the techs looked at me and not once asked what service I’d like to receive. After they asked what he wanted, he replied that his family of five would like pedicures. They serviced them and again never asked what service I wanted. I got up and left and yet still, no one said ANYTHING. The point I’d like to mention is that these types of situations happen all of the time. The response shouldn’t be “ just go somewhere else”. At some point we have to address what it really is and hold people accountable I find it extremely hard to believe that this place only has good reviews. I’ll gladly take the trophy for being the first bad one (that is if they don’t delete this like the others).
