I’ve been going to this place for years, no matter what this is my go to. Helen is #1 for me but all of the ladies do amazing job. Tom the owner is super nice and friendly. Attached are pictures through the years, every holiday and every occasion one of them were my engagement nails and I didn’t know it . 10/10 recommend.

My last visit here I left very unsatisfied. I got a black french tip full set & they were done very sloppy. I did not get a picture of them because of how bad they looked That was my only bad experience though, it all depends of who you get sat with. Pictured are a couple sets I got done over the months. They’re very quick & the prices are never consistent.

I tried to go to another salon when I moved to Toano and it just wasn’t the same. I had to go back to Nail Luv where I knew I had a great experience with Helen. Even though they were packed with it being a Saturday and she could have rushed her work to get to the next client, she took her time and made sure my nails looked just how I wanted. I highly recommend her!

I went in to get a regular pedicure. Towards the end the manicurist seemed annoyed and to be slightly rushing. When i was done i sat under the dryer for about 4-5 rounds. So approx 20-25 min, because i didn’t want to accidently mess my nails up driving. When i got home i looked at my toes and they were ruined. Bubbly and smeared onto other toes. It now had been about an hour since i paid/ left the shop. I touched a couple nails and they were still completely wet. I called the shop to tell them, there was a bit of run around to find who did my nails. I spoke to a young lady and she said she didn’t do my nails. I then spoke to the manager again. He told me to come in the next day. He started to not take my name, but i request that he take it down. When i came in the next day, i spoke to the manager who then proceed to keep asking me who did my nails and search for her. 45 min later he finally finds the young lady. When she got done doing a set, she took me to the pedicure chairs. She then proceeded to tell me my toe nails messed up because i didn’t get gel on my toe nails. Which i told her was not the reason they didn’t dry/ messed up. It was because something was done wrong. She then tried to paint over top of the messed up nails. I stopped her and told her she needed to remove the messed up polish and redo them. She had a slight attitude, but she did it. When she finished i sat under the dry for 7 times. So there was no excuse for why they didn’t dry.

On multiple occasions I’ve had bumps and uneven polish. But today marks why I won’t come back. The manager who I believe is named Tom is very dismissive and rude. Yesterday for my birthday I went in for a fill with design and pedicure, spent $99. Not only was the design not what I asked for, the top coat was barely on and it left circle like marks around my nails. I arrived at 12:40 and left right before 2. I had birthday plans I was late for and couldn’t stay any longer than I already had. I came in today (the next day) to have it fixed and I don’t like the way I was treated. I’ve been consistently going here for a year and I always tip well. He removed my set and gave me a rough looking manicure, I honestly feel robbed. First pic is what I asked for, second and third is what I actually got. Final pic is what he did to fix the situation. So quick to get starting on you. All the staff is very friendly. I got a manicure and pedicure. I couldn’t decide a color and she helped me pick this cute pink. My natural nails with some gel. I will always make the 20 minute drive to come to this place.

I had been going to this place for a couple of months and had pretty good experiences last Saturday I had a fill with gel polish, the tech did a pretty sloppy job, nail polish started chipping.,I went back today to get my nails re-done and a pedicure. I told the manager as soon as I came in and showed him, my nails, after getting my pedicure I was told to go to booth 21 as she started taking my polish off she asked who had done my nails? I told her booth 9 at that point everyone started coming over looking at my nails, it was obvious they all thought it was something wrong with it. Once I was done I went to pay with the manager standing there, I wasn’t told they were sorry for such poor work nor was I offered any sort of discount due to the sloppy work done, not even a week ago. The thing that got me the most was apparently she was expecting a large tip. I was baffled, by her expectations.I thought I would return a favor for the sloppy job. I left a 4.00 dollar tip on top of the expensive charge. I will never go back to this salon nor will I encourage anyone else to go. Yes when you provide good customers service than you’re rewarded and when you don’t than don’t expect to be.

They rush you in and out so fast that I’ve never felt comfortable. I’ve had gel nails 3 times there and they’ve been nice, a little thinner applied than other nail salons, so I end up chipping the polish within 2-3 days of having my nails done. I don’t recommend eyebrow waxing here because they do rush you and didn’t take the time to didn’t check for hairs missed with a tweezer, I finished what I paid for at home.

I’ll preface to say I’ve gone here for years; last 3 times I’ve been the pedicure have been horrible. First the polish was sloppy, I figured it was busy so gave them the benefit of doubt. Went last week and service was friendly but the pedicure was subpar at best. Returned today after 10 days of last visit, she didn’t like my color choice and decided to tell me it didn’t match, and used a darker polish, none of my toenails are filed evenly and honestly you can’t tell I’ve had a pedicure besides fresh polish. To add insult to injury I was charged $8 more than the last 2 visits. Will not be returning!
