Craniosacral Massage Therapy
Craniosacral therapy works with various aspects of both the mechanical and reflexive connective tissue functions. The craniosacral system is a recently discovered physiological system. An important function of this system is the production, circulation and resorption of the Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF). CSF is produced within the craniosacral system and maintains the physiological environment in which your brain and nervous system develop, live and function. The craniosacral system is intimately related to, influences, and is influenced by: the nervous, musculoskeletal, vascular, lymphatic, endocrine and respiratory systems. It is the core of the myofascial complex.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue massage, beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. Deep tissue massage focuses on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia. A study in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine found that people’s blood pressure fell after 45 to 60 minute deep tissue massage. Additionally, a 2010 meta-analysis in the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry found that massage modalities like deep tissue massage reduce stress hormone levels and heart rate while boosting mood and relaxation by triggering the release of oxytocin and serotonin.
Myofascial Release Massage
Myofascial Release Approach consists of the slow gentle application of sustained pressure into the fascial restrictions. This essential “time element” has to do with the viscous flow and the piezoelectric phenomenon: a low load (gentle pressure) applied slowly will allow a viscoelastic medium (fascia) to elongate. Myofascial release massage is done in the safety of your own private studio, in a supportive nurturing environment. Myofascial release massage can be done in combination with other modalities or by itself.
Prenatal Massage
Massages during pregnancy have often received ambivalent responses from the health community regarding their safety and purpose. Modern investigation and research has shown that prenatal massage therapy can be an instrumental ingredient in women’s prenatal care and should be given careful consideration. Prenatal Massage is a nurturing massage that focuses on the special needs of mothers-to-be during pregnancy. Positioning, pillows and cushions are used to enhance support, decrease pressure and increase relaxation for both body and mind. Mother and baby share in the benefits as stress and tension melt away, leaving you feeling balanced and energized. Relief of stress on feet, ankles, lower back and neck, as well as reducing swelling, are all benefits of a Prenatal Massage
Reflexology Massage
What Is Reflexology? Reflexology is a form of bodywork that involves applying pressure to the hands and feet to produce changes in pain and other benefits elsewhere in the body. How Does Reflexology Work? The underlying theory behind reflexology is that there are certain points or “reflex areas” on the feet and hands that are connected energetically to specific organs and body parts through energy channels in the body. By applying pressure to reflex areas, a reflexologist is said to remove energy blockages and promote health in the related body area. According to reflexologists, pressure on the reflex points also helps to balance the nervous system and stimulates the release of endorphins that help to reduce pain and stress. Reflexology is also used for post-operative or palliative care. A 2015 review published in Integrative Cancer Therapies found that massage was effective for the relief of cancer pain, especially for surgery-related pain.
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is one of the most commonly offered massage techniques. The technique aims to promote relaxation by releasing muscle tension.Swedish massage is gentler than deep tissue massage and better suited for people interested in relaxation and tension relief. Swedish massage may loosen up tight muscles caused by daily activities such as sitting at the computer or exercising. It can be very helpful for people who hold a lot of tension in their lower back, shoulders, or neck. What happens during a Swedish massage? Swedish massage therapists use kneading, long strokes, deep circular movements, and passive joint movements. These techniques are meant to relax you, stimulate nerve endings, and increase blood flow and lymph drainage. A traditional Swedish massage involves the whole body. You will begin on either your back or your stomach and flip over at the halfway point.

I had 2 epidurals, was taking pain meds and was still experiencing terrible back and leg pains. I visited a neurologist, rheumatologist, osteopath and pain management doctors. None of them could find a reason for my pain. After an MRI, EMG testing and 2 epidurals, I was advised to try Lyrica (a medication for fibromyalgia!!) I was at my wit’s end! One day my back was really hurting and I called to make an appointment for a regular massage. I got lucky when Kelly answered the phone. After I described my pain, he recommended that I try Myofascial Release massage. He stayed on the phone with me for over 20 minutes explaining the technique and how he believed it could help alleviate my symptoms. I felt that I had nothing to lose and made an appointment. Long story short — after 5 sessions I feel like a different human being! My legs and back don’t hurt and throb, I don’t have tingling and burning in my toes, and I am finally able to go for long walks and am starting to build up and resume cardio and my regular exercise routine. I plan on visiting Kelly every now and then for maintenance. I feel so lucky to have found him and have recommended him to all my friends. He is so professional, kind, patient and is so knowledgeable and amazing at what he does! Thank you Kelly!!
