Mynx™& Inkx is a Lash & Permanent Makeup Academy and Salon located in Gaithersburg, Maryland, for our guests to discover their inner beauty emerge and for our artists to express the artistry techniques. We offer short term and long term Certification courses as well as continuing education. Our Pro Team consists of Mynx & Inkx Alumni, who have passed assessments and are ready to take on their own clientele. They continue their education on a monthly basis.

Edit: Speaking to the amazing retention my lashes had. I know everyone is different. My hair grows pretty fast, but my lashes still looked amazing after 3 1/2 weeks! I kept up with the lash bath and making sure to brush them, but it is amazing that they still looked amazing after 3 1/2 weeks! Very, very impressed!

I was absolutely blown away by my experience at Mynx! Ricky was honest, attentive and talented! I’d never had my lashes lifted nor tinted before, and Ricky was great at explaining what I could expect with such short lashes. Rather than over-promising his honesty was appreciated because he actually over-delivered and I was so surprised with how well they turned out! The store was beautiful inside, and the staff very friendly! Having your eyes shut for over an hour can be daunting but Ricky kept checking in to see if I was ok. Amazing experience, well-priced and I cannot wait to be back!

I went here for the first time today and got my brows microbladed and a lash lift. I cannot speak highly enough about both Layla and Ricky. Layla was so thorough and meticulous. She ensured I was happy and comfortable every step of the way. Ricky was equally kind and careful. I was blown away by my results from both treatments and left feeling amazing. Worth every penny, I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I got a volume set done with Layla. She’s super sweet, professional, knowledgeable, and patient. The salon is very clean and comfortable, they even provide a nice soft blanket which likely contributed to my falling asleep/snoring haha

I don’t recommend this place. There’s many other places in this area that do this. I’ve gotten lash extensions many times at other places and had a very different experience and they usually lasted a good 2 weeks looking like new and max 4 weeks before they needed to be redone. I went here to get lashes done a week before my wedding. These lashes started to fall very very very quickly a few days after I left. I followed all the advices they give for taking care of your lashes. But they still fell. I had to get single lashes myself and even them out for the wedding. Now I’m on my honeymoon with completely patchy lashes and more lashes are falling all the time. Really horrible experience.

I can say with confidence that Layla is a skilled artist. I’ve had two microblading sessions, two years apart, and the results have been great. Both times she thoroughly reviewed what I wanted, confirmed with a sketch, and tattooed every stroke meticulously. I’d highly recommend.
