I went in for a balayage and made it clear I wanted ashy brown tones and not warm tones. Service was great and my stylist was so sweet. However the end product was not up to my expectations at all. The balayage was spotty and not ashy toned at all. We picked the toner out together so I’m unsure as to why it didn’t show through. She didn’t use foils and had reassured me it wouldn’t be spotty but ended up very spotty and my hair was so brassy. I had great expectations walking in and service was nice but I will not be returning.

Mikel is a true gem! I love that they use healthy products for my hair and I don’t have to worry about gross toxins in the color. It’s nice when a salon cares to take care of you in that way. True professionals here, and the front desk is always friendly. Win, win. Hairstyling

My hairdresser Gianna is so friendly and helpful. She even offered to bring me some green tea. Also gave me a great head and neck massage while rinsing out my color. Definitely worth the tip I paid her. Fantastic stylist!

I went today and got my first balayage/ highlight ever, Giana did a fabulous job…I love my hair! She was so friendly, sweet and fun to talk to as well! Definitely a place I’d highly recommend and I’ll be back for sure!

I could not be happier with my experience. I walked in and was welcomed graciously by all of the stylists that were around as well as the receptionist. My stylist Celia educated me on their color line and products and I ended up buying Surface Bassu line which I am no obsessed with! I have never felt so welcomed going to a salon in my life and for that very reason I will continue to go to Celia and the salon.

I have been going to Debi since 1995. Even when I moved to Schaumburg, then Bloomingdale and now Addison. She’s worth the drive. Great shop, fair prices, organic products. I highly recommend “My Friends Place.”
