Genese is AMAZING!!!! She made me fall in love with my hair again. I’m actually excited for wash days now. Genese was very nice and educational. I loved how excited she was to do my hair. She listened to me throughout the entire appointment and educated me on everything. The best feeling is when you have no questions to ask because she answered everything through the appointment. She was clear and honest. I love my hair. I love that it’s my curls. My curls are out and I love them. I always looked at all the girls on social media who styled their curls so beautiful but now I’m in love with mine. I have been searching for someone to do my hair for over a year. I stumbled upon Genese and waited until she returned from maternity leave and then I traveled 6 hours from Louisiana to My Curl Connection and it was worth it. Genese deserves so much more praise.

I scheduled an appointment to straighten my hair for my quarterly trim. The moment Genese placed me in the shampoo bowl and put water on my hair, she stopped. She sat me up and had a ‘heart to heart’. I thought she was concerned about my texture, but she wanted to express her love with my curls. She convinced me into a curly transformation and it was the best life choice I made. Her genuine excitement about my curls made me wear them out of her salon like a badge of honor. I mean, how can a person love your hair more than you? She was so personable too, even with a mask. She also took the time to educate me about my hair.
