Critical: ProfessionalismThe owner really rushed doing my nails and didn’t make a customer connection at all and spent all his time talking to a co-worker. Also wouldn’t answer any of my questions, and hurt me multiple times because he was rushing and made me bleed multiple times. I went with a friend and she had to soak her old nails off and the guy that did her nails was still finished before me and they were beautiful. I also asked for dip powder and he used the dip powder but also used the acrylic so now my nails feel heavy and look bulky and are completely hideous. They won’t last long at all!! He even tried charging me an extra 5 dollars because he rushed and ended up having to do extra work to try to fix his mess. I spent days peeling stuff off my skin from his sloppy work! I will never go back !!!! The owner really rushed doing my nails and didn’t make a customer connection at all and spent all his time talking to a co-worker. Also wouldn’t answer any of my questions, and hurt me multiple times because he was rushing and made me bleed multiple times. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityI took my daughter to have her nails done for homecoming and I was very impressed. First off Tommy the owner took the time to call me back 3 times to verify the appointment time because my phone service was so bad. We were taking in right away and the pic my daughter showed them that she wanted her nails like he was spot on. He couldn’t have done a better job. They actually listened and made sure to give my daughter what she wanted. The place was also very clean compared to all the places in Roanoke that I have been to. Their customer service was excellent and my daughter’s nails were exactly what she wanted. I took my daughter to have her nails done for homecoming and I was very impressed. First off Tommy the owner took the time to call me back 3 times to verify the appointment time because my phone service was so bad. We were taking in right away and the pic my daughter showed them that she wanted her nails like he was spot on. He couldn’t have done a better job. They actually listened and made sure to give my daughter what she wanted. The place was also very clean compared to all the places in Roanoke that I have been to. Their customer service was excellent and my daughter’s nails were exactly what she wanted. I will only be going here from now on.

Positive: QualityI have been coming to MTV nails now for 3 years, every few weeks (unless I had something come up and couldn’t make it). Tammy, Tommy, and John have ALWAYS treated me right! They are always friendly, and want to make your nails look good. Tommy likes to joke around and make you laugh, and loves doing unique designs/colors etc. Tammy likes to ask how your day is and casual conversations, she’s good at her work too. John is really quiet, but will talk some, and he does great with acrylics and polishing in general. I’ve never been treated wrong. If you want something, just ask and they’ll do their best to make you happy! Some need to realize that nails are “jewels and not tools”, and if you use them as such you risk braking, cracking or chipping them. Which is not the fault of the nail techs! The acrylic they use is very good lasting quality. They have hundreds of dip powders, gel and regular polishes to choose from! Most colors have swatches, so you can see the actual dried color. I have been coming to MTV nails now for 3 years, every few weeks (unless I had something come up and couldn’t make it). Tammy, Tommy, and John have ALWAYS treated me right! They are always friendly, and want to make your nails look good. He could not do the design I had picked from their selection. He cut nails very very short none are even. The worst part is the way he used the dremal tool. Just the removing of my old dip was painful but when he began shaping the fresh nails he cut me not once but twice. The pinky he cut is well below the cuticle. Both fingers that got cut are very sore and tender. Then he charged me full price. Will not be going back. Had been driving to staunton will go back to doing that. My nails are always sloppy, they are never even, never the same thickness from nail to nail. They do not take pride in their work, Ive given them multiple chances trying to give them the benefit of doubt but its the same every time. My nails are always sloppy, they are never even, never the same thickness from nail to nail. They just try and rush thru every appt and it definitely shows when it comes to the quality of the manicure. Now I have to drive an hour away every 2 weeks just to get my nails done and they should take that to heart bc I know I’m not the only one who does.
