After repeatedly confirming my appointment time I arrived only to find that three other people had been scheduled for the exact same time with only one braider. After waiting for another braider to arrive my daughter received a sew in weave which after just two days tracks were falling out of her hair. My other daughter received knotless braids which were spaced so far apart and thin the style looked terrible. Three hundred dollars later I am sorely disappointed with the service we received and will not patronize this business again. It is clear by the dirty unkept building and poor quality of work that they will take your money with no care for the comfort of the customer or outcome or longevity of the style. While I have tried to support this business as it is conveniently located in the concord area I will from here on out travel the distance to a business where they care about customer service and the quality of their work.

I have been getting my hair braided in knotless braids at the Concord location sense 2019 until today 8/17 and I will never go to them again. The owner is pleasant but I think they all are greedy. my price changed for the same braids same length every time $180-$215- $280(for colorful and I provided the hair) then $375 for regular box braids ( which should be cheaper than knotless) then $350 for bigger knotless braids today 😐 (which should be cheaper rite?) I wanted them smaller they told me they couldn’t do smaller only bigger because she could not do them herself ( but isnt that their job? :- BUT I AM THE ONE PAYING. They do not value loyal returning customers and they always change the price specifically for me because they do not like to do long box braids.

I called to make an appointment for 9am Monday, I got there 8:45am when I got there they weren’t open, I noticed I had a miss call saying they were needing to confirm my appointment, 30 minutes before I come you need to confirm my appointment Really I call them, I told her I was there, she said the lady would be there 20 minutes, by 9:30 she pulls up. We went in I told her what I wanted the bigger braids which was like $135. she said the big braids don’t last, she showed me the smaller braids she said was better which was $165. I told her okay I wanted Knotless, she showed me a pic I said okay that’s good but no knots, she told me to sign the book, I even put Knotless in the book. Doing my hair she got to the back I checked my hair it was knots down the middle of my head on both sides of my head my hair wasn’t even like the pic she showed me, I told her that I didn’t want the knots, she called I guess the head lady, she wanted me to come back at a later time cause the lady that did my hair had to go to work, I told her just take them out, she was on the phone the whole time doing my hair. A Hundred Dollars is a lot of money you not getting what you ask for. She didn’t even ask me did I want that gel washed outta my hair, I had got my hair washed and done the Thursday before, now I gotta get this mess washed outta my head. Then she combed my hair and practically push me out the chair, with her hand I felt it, she pushed my head. She didn’t say I’m sorry for the misunderstanding or anything. I was very disappointed Bad business. I wish I should’ve taken a pic, It was terrible. The way she braided my hair it looked as if I couldn’t have put it in a ponytail if I wanted too. My part was so big down the middle of my head my scalp was wide open Straight down the middle.

Their appointment scheduling is horrible. If you make an appointment, you may or may not be able to get your hair done. I’ve seen them turn away more people with appointments than actually do their hair. If you are lucky enough to have your appointment honored, they are good at what they do, but you have to be willing to take the chance that they will not service you or they will have you wait an hour or more.

I’m a heavy review reader however I never really post. Most of the reviews on this braid shop are negative, so normally I wouldn’t have gone. However, I gave them a chance because I’ve been to some shops where they were positive and to me they were negative… people feel differently about different aspects of their visit, whether it be the customer service, the style, or the environment. All in all, my reasoning for 5 stars is because of the professionalism, them adjusting to fit you in around a time that’s good for you, them accepting walk ins (I’ve walked in twice) and them doing great braids! I’ve only gotten feed ins and box braids and my service as well as my braids were top notch. Both ladies, Moyhe and the other lady that’s always in there were very down to earth. Unlike other braid shops where they talk to each other and never acknowledge you, here it was opposite. As our hip hop culture would say, “it’s a vibe” when you enter their establishment. I’d highly recommend them to anyone that’s been reconsidering. Often times, people post a bad review but not a good one. Let’s be different! If you go and you like your service/hair, please post a review. I’ll say your welcome in advance because you won’t be dissapointed!

I use to go all the time to get my hair done in braids, kinky twists, Senegalese twists and everything and there was never a problem. But yesterday I was gonna get the 180 Senegalese twists and I don’t know if the lady thought this was my first rodeo or what but she started doing something completely different from what I wanted. I told her like after the 4th one these don’t feel right. Senegalese twists are supposed to be down my back. She said no not for 180. She called her boss, spoke in French about it (very rude) and then took a picture of what she had done. I wasn’t pleased at all. I showed her a picture of a time I got them done for 160 dollars and they hit my waist. She still refused so I said take it out I’ll go somewhere else. I wasn’t gonna pay her 180 for a 160 job. I won’t be returning.

I went to this shop and I must say I should have turned around like I started to from the start. The lady tried to talk me into getting something I didn’t want because my hair is natural, then I was leaving. Came out to my car when I was Ieaving begged me to come back and she could do it but smaller so it wouldn’t be frizzy. Never once said anything about the braids may slip out. My hair is a decent length too. First two days it looks great and I was satisfied. After that braids started to fall out. I call, their like just come in. I came after work they were closed. Called again now another week goes by I go in she’s like come back. I did then told me she not supposed to touch my hair after 7days. Im like I have been calling and I came and I work as well. I can only come on Saturdays. Today makes 3 weeks only because I couldn’t catch them because I am working too but braids were falling out after the 3rd day. She says I have an attitude and am not touching your hair. Im like you never wanted to fix it in the first place and I paid alot $180 to be exact I should be entitled to a portion of my $$$. Instead of arguing with her I am leaving to never go back. I have numerous braids that are sliding out and would never send anyone to these money grubbers. Plus they have no AC. Beware.

I can only speak on my experience. Ive been going to Moyhe hair braiding since 2008. I will admit I have had a challenge or two but Moyhe will do whatever she can to make me happy. She schedule days for me that no other place will. She will come early, late, and on Sundays. She always try to get her best worker for me. She may not be perfect but she will not stop until you are happy. That is to be commended. I only go to her for my braid jobs

Use to be a loyal customer until Moyhe started changing her employees like they change they underwear. Been gone over 3 years now. I went from 2010 -2013. After the last experience with my daughter & moyhe’s rude ass employee? I’m done. Worse bitchy attitude in the world. Winter time, & it began to snow, my daughter was suppose to get kinky twist. Me being the nice concerned person I am, I changed my daughters hair do, didnt want my daughter or the braider working on my daughters head to get snowed in or be in a wreck. Attitude, Attitude, Attitude smh. Never again
