I have come to her with literally just an aesthetic photo collection and she curates perfection with just a vibe and her skills as an artist. I was a long-standing customer of Maddie’s until today. I scheduled an appointment with her after a year break from nails, but never got the reminder notification I’d been used to getting. In the past, I’ve never been late to an appointment, I’ve never missed payment, and my husband and I have recommended her services to many individuals, and always got notifications from her regarding my appointments. She texted me today asking if I was on my way, to which is explained I didn’t know we were on for today because I didn’t get the reminder text I previously had gotten. She charged me $60. Had I known there were new cancellation or missed appointment policies in place I could’ve handled this differently, and not been out $60 for no reason. I could see if I had been late even one time in the past I would get charged, but charging me without telling me beforehand I’d be up against fees is bad business practice.
