I saw Dr. Bhatnagar this afternoon. In seconds she diagnosed my condition and had a treatment option. I was in and out of her office in less than 25 minutes. I’ve seen both her and Dr. Thakker a few times in the past couple years for treatment and preventative care. I find them both competent and caring physicians. Their staff is both polite and efficient.

I usually don’t like to write poor reviews online, but the experience I had at Monarch Dermatology was extremely upsetting. I went in, as a young woman in her 20s, with concerns of excessive hair loss. The doctor barely looked at my scalp and pictures I provided to show how much hair I lose on a daily basis. She did not ask questions and turned down every concern I mentioned without exploring other avenues. It was explained to me that losing this much hair is normal, there’s no time frame for how long it will last, and there’s nothing I can do about it. She told me that my hair loss was caused from a stress on my body such as a surgery, death in the family, pregnancy, etc. After I explained that none of these have occurred and my hair loss is approaching almost a year and getting worse, she continued to say that she doesn’t know what it’s from but kept that diagnosis. It was clear that me being upset was bothering her and that she just wanted the appointment to end. Anyone who is excessively losing hair at 21 years old wants answers and will be upset when the doctor doesn’t listen or even attempt to explore possibilities. When leaving the room, she didn’t even ask if I had any more questions.
